and Stan Lee created the comic
hence Stan Lee exists in the Heroverse as we know him now
 
But that was Stan Lee's twin brother, Ephren Lieber, who is actually a bus driver.
 
Stan's big break in comics wasn't even originally his idea. he was considering quitting at the time when his boss gave him the job of coming up with a team of super-heroes to be sold opposite DC's "Justice League of America". On advice from his wife, Stan decided that if he was going to quit, his last book would be done his way. So he made the characters the way he wanted to see it.

This was not only the beginning of Stan's reign as Comic King, but also this is the birth story of the Fantastic Four.
