Star Wars: The Clone Wars

I may be alone in this but I always felt instead of doing the Clone Wars they should have started the day after the events of ROTS and show Vader's rise. Show how he adjusted to his suit and how he hunted down and found the rest of the Jedi. Plus you could deal with tons of other stuff including Luke and Leia growing up, Ben and Yoda finding out that Vader lived and if they encountered him before a new hope. How Vader feels or deals with the pain of his wife's death. These are stories I would have like to see more than the Clone Wars. Or if they did a series picking up right after ROTJ.

That would be a hard sell considering the original demographic for that series. Of course a character fueled series focusing on the backbone of that franchise would be entertaining, but there would be very little levity. Star Wars kind of requires a minimal amount of levity.

Vader's not big on the chuckles.

I would prefer this as the live action show that was rumore . It really is unfortunate that we never got a live action Star Wqars show and 65 Dtar Trek shows.

Well I think they could get away with a show like the clone wars that is set after ROTS show the aftermath of everything and shows the rise of Vader and why many people still fear him. Also how everyone thinks Anakin is dead or was killed by Vader. I think these would make great stories and since you have like a 20 year gap instead of 3 to 4 at the most you have endless amounts of stories you can tell. I also think they could do a movie much like they did Clone Wars where it is set after ROTJ and get the original cast to come back and do the voices for the movie and have new voice actors come in for the series. But I think these would have been a better concept then the Clone Wars. I mean if you look at the history from ROTS to ANH and after ROTJ there is so much there to be explored instead of the clone wars.

I see that wish, but it seems a bit far-off and highly unlikely.

For some reason I doubt a live-action show under Lucas' control would contain very little live-action.

Understood but it would make more sense than the Clone Wars and if all he is concerned about is money then those ideas would make much more money than the Clone Wars. Also I am sure the original cast would be more than happy to lend their voices for one last movie if asked and depending on the story.

I am not sure that any of that is accurate. However, I find The Clone Wars series quite enjoyable and the storytelling is top notch.

Having learned of the Episode Chronology jumbling episodes around just made the series far more satisfying to watch. For example start off the series with the Cat and Mouse episode from Season 2 followed by The Hidden Enemy from Season 1 leading into the movie. Now that flows very nicely. Over at the Force.net Message Boards, a few guys were discussing the best order to put them all in. I'd recommend you all give it a try too. Makes for a more cohesive storyline methinks. :)

Btw I'm following the user SwashbucklingJedi's list.

Just watched Nomad Droids last night. As much as I love the stories set in this universe, I can usually only take one full episode with Anthony Daniels in front. He just annoys me to no end.

In regards to the episode order, I managed to find a list online, much like the one you provided, and then re-watched them all in order. Aside from the animation quality dipping in some areas, I found the viewing to be more rewarding as it didn't allow for as much time to forget the minor happenings in the arcs from story to story.

Care to point me to where you managed to track down your list? I wouldn't mind taking a look actually. As for the quality between episodes back and forth between Season, yeah that's pretty much the only drawback albeit a minor one at that.

Almost on random, a couple weeks ago I decided to give this show a shot and watch the first episode.

3 seasons and 7 episodes later, I'm hooked. I must say, I'm rather impressed with how much I enjoy the show. I expected it to be kid-friendly, but nooo. There's death and adult themes, just like all the best classic animated series.

Does anybody else tend to prefer episodes that focus mostly on Clone Troopers? I find those to be the series' strongest, with the Season 3 openers standing out the most. It was nice to see Fives again in the newest episode.

Yeah the last two episodes which focused on the Clones were very good. Seeing where Rex stands especially after the tension he had with General Krell, it's great to see how the Clones are starting to feel how expendable they are during these troubled times of war. And that Krell was such a hard-arse too. Never saw that coming at all!!

Still hoping we'll get to see the planet of Corellia later in the series. After all Han did mention the Corellian Freighters and not forgetting that's also where the Millenium Falcon came from.

It's potentially still coming but Lucas wants to wait till CGI budgets go down.

When the time comes for Clone Wars to end...just re-format it into a show set in another era...whether OT (wouldn't mind something set between ANH & ESB), KOTOR (Please Lucas)...or whenever...

A KOTOR animated show would make up for no third game

After watching Tarkin & Anakin's interactions in that one story arc, I wouldn't mind seeing the show continue after Order 66 and seeing the early days of the Empire & Vader.

I'll be shocked if they don't move the series forward in time after the Clone Wars series ends...

Now that the General Krell arc is at an end, we now have a Slave Faction that Anakin is now trying to bring down. I do wonder if we'll learn of any backstory to Anakin's mother etc. Anakin's sure making this personal having been a slave boy in his youth.

I've barely watched this show since it aired. After playing the Old Republic beta for a weekend, I decided to give this another go, since I crave anything Star Wars in the moment. I'm watching it totally out of order and I'm currently watching Episode 10 of the 4th Season. Holy hell... I didn't know a kids show could be this serious. o_o

Yeah that Jedi General was so ruthless not having a care for the Clones. It's cool to see where they stand in the war, the way they're feeling affected - whether the Jedi are really using them as pawns for the greater good. The War is certainly taking it's toll on them.

I'd like to see one that takes place after ROTJ. Cg for sure, instead of the rumored live action for this one. That way we could actually have Luke looking like Luke of the OT,etc instead of finding new actors that resemble their respective counterparts....

The live action show is suppose to take place in the time period between Sith and A New Hope and rumored to involve Boba Fett.

Based particularly on the Clone Wars scenes between Anakin and Tarkin, I'd actually like to see this series continue after Order 66 and be a show around the Dark Times, with the adjustment from Republic to Empire with Anakin coming to grips on what he's become.
