Star Wars: The Clone Wars

AWESOME. Simply awesome. I am greatly loving this show. The right amount of violence with create writing. This is what the prequels SHOULD have been. I am really enjoying it. I hope the ratings are doing well.

I caught it and it wasn't impressive at all. Heck if they did a 3d animated update of the Ewoks & Droids Adventure Hour from the mid 80's it'd be much more entertaining. :boba:

They played the first two ep on CN last night. I must admit, i rather enjoyed it. I like the fact that they are showcasing characters that had very little to do in the film, ala, Plo Koon.

Anakin and his padawan (who i take it is the same specie as Shakti) are a tad annoying but hopefuly they won't take center stage as the series continues.

I would still like to see an animated series of the events that happen betwen 'Revenge of the Sith' and 'A New Hope'. Just for the simple fact that Vader hunting down the Jedi has always been a fasination of mine. I wouldn''t want to see it live action just for the simple fact that there'd be more room to screw things up. Keep it animated. Plus hearing James Earl Jones as the voice of Vader again would be a BIG plus!

I thought anakin and his padawan were great. He's a lot more serious...much better than in the crappy movies.

He's too much like Obi-1 imo. Even in ROTS he acted as the rogue of the Jedi, questioning them when they didn't make him a master and whatnot. In the last ep of the cartoon, he scolded his padawan for questioning the councel...seemed very inconsistent with the Anakin from Revenge to me....

They're making a live action show that takes place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. And there's Force Unleashed as well.

The live action show should totally = The Force Unleashed :woot:

I just got done watching the newest episode. It was pretty good, but why the **** was Grievous coughing!? I think that's what pisses me off the most about this show is the continuity errors (Obi-Wan fighting Grievous, Count Dooku and Anakin dueling, etc). But it was pretty good. I was under the impression that two episodes would air back to back every Friday, so I was disappointed about that, too.

Yeah, these continuity errors are the only real problem with the show. Which is dissapointing because how hard is it to respect continuity?

I thought the same exact thing. I was thinking that if you know Grevious's story, he was put back together from once being an alien to half machine half alien. So maybe he's still adjusting to that? But if its not that, than I don't know. Maybe he just has a cold. :woot:

He was hacking in the movie.

General Greivious got the cough after Mace Windu crushed his chest plate while he was retreating from a battle during the Clone Wars mini cartoon series. I wanna say it was during the invasion of Curuscant to kidnap Palpatine...but I could be wrong. If that's true...the continuity is a little messy now. The Palpatine kidnapping happened near the end of the Clone Wars when Greivious sustained the injury and this episode happened somewhere within the 3 year period of the war.

Yes, right before Episode III Grievous kidnapped Palpatine andWindu crushed his chest.

Obi-Wan fighting Grievous is easily worked around, though. The scene on the Invisible Hand in ROTS made it seem as if they two had had prior experience with one another. Now, if Grievous fought Anakin, we'd have a problem.

Same with Anakin and Dooku. Anakin had said that his powers had doubled since the last time they met. He never specifically mentions Geonosis.

I hadn't heard about a live action series. Got a link?
Oh-and if they even ATTEMPT to do it without James Earl Jones, I'm killing everyone involved!!!
A bit hyperbolic, but you get my point.

Quite true. Gotta love continuity loopholes. :word:

I still prefer Genndy Tartakovsky's shorts but this wasn't as bad as some critics had made out, better than expected really, wasn't really expecting much tbh.

I think from an certain point of view the critics were right as there hasn't been an ton on this tv show yet. Most of the criticism was directed at the feature lenght theatrically released pilot episode which was every bit as bad as they said it was. These episodes however, were not.

They're not great but they're head and shoulders above that movie. I think it's biggest problem(aside from the pointless Ashoka character) is that there are no new villains to combat the heroes we care about. Grievious, Dooku, and the rest...we already know they're all gonna go out pretty easily at some point and they've *****fied Ventress compared to her other Clone War cartoon version so...what do we have left? Nothing. And that's an problem. As is the so so writing.:woot:

I'll keep watching though. I like the idea of an fight for the clone factory on Kamino with an Grievious/Kit Fisto duel and the premise of Jar Jar accidentally blowing up an planet is also amusing to me.

If you ask me, they should have used this 3-part 'Malevolence' arc, with some minor tweaks, as the pilot movie. Everything about it seems much more cinematic than...Rotta the Hutt.

Anyone want to see Durge come back? We know Obi-Wan didn't actually finish him off before. I'm all for it.

I'm with DarthKush. New villains.

Yea but Obi-Wan says to Anakin "This time we'll take him together" and he replies back "I was going to say the same thing" implying that the last time Anakin fought Dooku was with Obi-Wan, thus, continuity error.

Exactly, thus another continuity error.

I didn't really like this past ep. Too much Anakin, and not enough saber action for my liking.

That makes no sense.
