Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

God I loved Jedi power Battles, that games was awesome! I miss Galactic Battlegrounds too :( But I also have a soft spot for Supremecy, building my own Death Star made me giddy :D

Jedi Power Battles was amazing for the sheer fact you got play characters you wouldn't normally get to play in a Star Wars game. :o

So extra characters equals quality?

Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi was a superb title then, solely because you could play characters you normally couldn't.

Great logic?

Teras Kasi I enjoyed when it first came out due to the fact it was a Star Wars beat em up. Obviously now, its a big pile of cack! Jedi Power Battles can still be fun and is an enjoyabel romp :)

No, a fun game equals quality. Which was what Jedi Power Battles was, a fun game.

a quality game equals great graphics, gameplay, and narrative. a fun game is simply a fun game, it doesn't mean it's quality.

:o

Exactly.

Honestly, I hated Power Battles, it was just such a poorly done game. Doesn't me you can't enjoy it though. I was just busting Bill's chops about the game.

My thought's on gaming is that you can't fault someone for enjoying a game, even though you might not. So I don't. I like plenty of games that were generally hated, so I'm not about to seriously condem someone for liking a game that I don't.

I do like good natured teasing though. :)

And if you put those things together, you get a fun game, therefore, great graphics + great gameplay + great story = quality = FUN.

I'm waaaaay too lazy to find that WRONG gif of Kevin Spacy from Superman Returns...so just imagine that here in place of this text.

you can have a very fun game this is by no means quality. just like you can have movies that are so bad they are good. You smell'n what I'm step'n in here?
nice try though on that post up there :)

If you have fun with a game there is a very high chance that it has a combo of good graphics, gameplay and story. If all of those are missing, chances are you arent going to find that game too fun(not always, but often). So, chances are if a game is found to be fun, its probably a quality game.

Power Battles is pretty awful now, but when it was first out, the game was the ****. It didn't come close to standing up to the test of time, but I'll be damned if you aren't a lier when you say it was a bad game for it's time/

how about this: fun is in the eye of the beholder. Fun is subjective. There's really no arguing what is and isn't fun because it depends on the person. The same goes for quality...to a certain extent. But there are general characteristics of things that the vast majority of people will agree on that establish when something is either quality or are not quality.

Take for instance Sonic The Hedgehog (PS3, Xbox 3-fix-me). The game has constant unwarranted slowdowns, the graphics are not up to par with this generation by any means, and there are long load times all over the damn place. The game is by no means quality...but there are plenty of people who find it fun (check out Gamefaqs.com and you'll find'em all over the place). People do NOT NEED quality to have fun.

I'm not gonna lie...I hate everything I've seen about this game.

From the ******ed plot that seemingly goes out of its way to render the Original Trilogy completely pointless, to the almost-*********ory hype about the Euphoria engine, right down to the look-I'm-a-ninja backwards lightsaber and the soul-patch that seems to be standard issue for every 'dark-n-gritty' videogame character in the last 5 years (not to mention Shaak Ti dressing like a hooker for no apparent reason), there's not a single thing about this game that appeals to me.

And the fact that Lucas has officially recognized this into the SW canon and not Knights of the Old Republic is a flat-out insult.

#1 the apprentice doesn't have a soul patch

#2 where have you read that it renders the original trilogy completely pointless. have you beaten the game or read the novel? i doubt it...

#3 do you really have any idea of what you are talking about?

#4 whine b#tch moan.

I second this.

^ LOL. :woot:

This game looks pretty good to me. I'm glad to see another worthwhile SW game coming out after waiting so long.

Does this have any multiplayer mode like a deathmatch?
