Haha....i doubt that. I have a really funny feeling that this game is going to suck really hard, I'm praying for a masterpiece, but I'm expecting absolute shiit.

Well I'm not going to answer that as I'm kinda in the same boat(I'm not too stoked for GTA IV either). But i will absolutely 100% guarantee that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed WILL NOT sell nearly as many copies as GTA IV. Ill also guarantee you that GTA IV will get the better press/ industry ratings. In terms of sales and industry vibe, GTA IV is going to flat out murder this game, but thats nothing that everyone didnt already know.


But back onto Star Wars, any ideas when some new gameplay info is going to hit?

Anyway, expect some of the biggest gaming titles for 2008 to be on display. The one I can't wait to see? Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the first next-gen "Star Wars" game, which takes place between Episodes III and IV—right around the time Darth Vader and his minions were building the dreaded Death Star. The developers at LucasArts will be showing off Unleashed (versions for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii are set for release in the second quarter of 2008) to the press at a suite on the Strip, along with a new, non-"Star Wars" title dubbed Fracture. Be there I shall.

Amazon.com has an April 8th release date for The Force Unleashed. That fits with Spring 2008/Q2 2008, we've heared from LucasArts, but it still doesn't make it the official release date.

I have to agree, still. The cover is all right, but it's nothing to blow your load over. Same exact thing with this entire game. It looks to be a disappointment, at least from my viewpoint. A KOTOR it definitely will not be.

'fraid I have to agree. The title looks particularly stupid, which is something I've felt since i first saw it. They should gave gone with something more clean and straightforward, instead of seeing how many photoshop filters they could apply before it became unrecognizable. My art professors at school would tear whoever designed that title a new one.

And your opinion on the game is based on what? A teaser trailer that was created 6 months ago for a game that has at least another 3 months before release?

As for the cover. I like it. Plus, it might be the final cover. Only amazon.com seems to have it. The logo will be staying the same though.
Who cares about the cover anyway, btw? Are any of you not going to get a game based on it's cover?

Yes. There are multiple endings but only one, obviously, is the canon (official) ending.

If you don't like the idea of the extreme force powers and the idea of Vader having an apprentice then, fair enough.

You can't tell if the game will have substance or not. We only know that Vader has an apprentice and he uses him to hunt down the last of the Jedi and also to overthrow the Emperor.
You'll have to play the game (or read the novel) to see what happens. You won't know how deep the story will be if you don't play it because what they're and will be showing the game for, is it's gameplay.

Could you tell if KotOR had a deep, interesting story before you actually experienced it yourself?

But anyway...since it seems that the basic plot of Vader and his apprentice sounds silly (or whatever you think) to you then I don't think you'll like it. Who knows though.

Fair enough, I'm just of the mind that it will be an attempt to show off all the "totly awezome jeddi powurz!" instead of actually developing a solid foundation to lay that upon. It just seems extremely overblown and grandiose to me at this point in time, and if you don't agree that is fine by me.

And yes, I find the backstory silly, moronic almost. I tend to look at the first three movies (pre-remastered. Hayden Christiansen = horrible Darth Vader, and replacing Boba Fett's original voice was completely ******ed.) as actual canon - with some of the supplemental books. Anything after is just bull****. I just don't understand how said apprentice could've completely disappeared from the plot between then and the first movie.
