I definately prefer SG1 to SGA without a doubt, granted its not as good as it used to be but at this point we know the characters so well that we are a lot more invested in them.

As for SG1 Vs the rest of Sci-Fi. I actually tend to go back and forth between it and Star Trek TNG as my favourite series, usually depends what ive been watching recently.

Farscape is definately up there, as is Firefly. Personally I thought the new BSG was ok but I found series 2 a bit dull and stopped watching when I saw they were using a suicide bomber as I thought it went too far.

last nights episode was awesome. This is why SG1 has better stories than SGA.

ok, gotta love the scene with vala gambling in the pub

then all the twists. I mean that episode went in so many different directions, so fast. Just gotta say, had this episode had an extra five minutes, just to flush out those scenes that needed it, it would have been mint. It was still a great epi though.

Wonder how the finale will shape up

I'm sorry to say that
It's possible that the whole Ori situation is going to be left ofr the first movie.

The finale episode is
going to be the team on the Odyssey and stuck in some time dialation field and seeing the univers Twenty and Forty years in the future before they get back to their original time.

Last nights one was brill, though i knew that it was a con when Daniel just blew Vala off in the briefing room. I mean they had the whole Momento Mori episode showing how much he trusts her then he did that? too obvious. That being said i didn't see the memory implant or the fact that Ba'al implanted a clone of his Symbiote into Adria coming.

Finally who the hell is Col Davidson played by? i've seen him before as a cop (?) but i can't place it

he was the guy who tried to rape Grace Park in Battlestar Galactica

I found this on another message board. It's a teaser of the new{and last} episode.

I'm really going to miss SG1 :csad: Oh well at least I have all the seasons on Dvd to watch over and over again . :woot:

Question Do we know if Richard Dean Anderson & Don S. Davis will be present for the series finale ?

I think they should be their since they were their from the begining .

It would be nice if they were but im not too sure. Im hoping RDA will have a big part in at least one of the dvd movies, it would be great to get him back in more than a cameo role.

Richard Dean Anderson is the reason STARGATE SG-1 is such a smach hit tv . Without him it wouldn't have lasted as long as it did .

So far the finale he should have a big part to play . and not just a cameo .

DAMNIT I wish they stop teasing us and just have Jack & Sam actually get married .

The producers of SG-1 got too lazy and indulgent with the writing on the show and that's why the quality has gone way down compared to the earlier seasons. TNG only got better. If only TNG had the benefit of CGI it might have been the ultimate scifi show of all time.

They work with the Airforce too closely to ever allow those 2 to get together onscreen, its against regulations and they dont want to show that being broken. Theyve done as much as they can by having little hints for the past 2 seasons that Jack and Sam are now together.

In an interview with Amanda Tapping she said Richard Dean Anderson was asked to do the second movie that deals with Ba'al. Kind of fitting if you ask me considering those twos history

in order for TNG to achieve that goal, it's not the f/x that it needed updated (because by season 7, f/x were pretty solid). What TNG needed was a plot. The single serving episode nature of TNG will never let it get to the position of penultimate scifi.

I dont think thats true considering the original Star Trek series used stand alone episodes and I expect if a worldwide poll could be taken that would come out as the ultimate scifi show.

I disagree , I believe that without Richard Dean Anderson as Jack O'Neill their it just wasn't the same format that added the speical kick in the episode .

Ben's a good actor, But Cameron Mitchell is no O'Neill (as much as they try to write him as a younger version of Jack in his prime) he's not Jack .

:( Last ep tomorrow, really gonna miss SG1. Sure we'll get 2, possibly more movies but dont think it'll be the same.

I know *Sob* I've been saving a Bottle of Guinness all week just so i can toast SG-1 tomorrow....

That being said if what i've heard is true then the
Asguard are going to completely f**k up.

It's rumored that they will commit mass suicide as they believe that the Ori are too powerful to defeat and they don't want all their knowledge falling into their hands

I really hope that that stuff ^^ is complete cr*p

Im still hoping he'll actually be playing Daniel Jackson and it'll be a crossover! :p

We could see Jack Bauer start using Zats!

It'll be good to see Shanks on 24 but to be honest im a bit disapointed, just means that theres less chance he'll appear on Atlantis.
