Technically, none of them are... Show's canned.. Movie is also canned... so why leave just his name out....

Confusing as hell to me.... and i don't like being confused....

Back in JAN I attended an Atlantis Convention.... where Kavan Smith (Mjr Lorne) mentioned that there was no money available to make the movie... and there have been other reports about the Atlantis movie not going ahead any time soon...

there's just been ZERO news about it....rumors of another SG-1 movie on the way sometime next year though

To sum up though, they are basically doing yet another gimmick episode:

It's a bodyswap episode involving the Ming Na character and a wheelchair bound guest character. The problem being that the episode seems to suggest that every handicapped person can't live a real life unless they become "normal" (can't have sex in a wheelchair after all) and that a lesbian is being "forced" to have sex with a man.


And in effect, they manage to offend both groups involved.

I can't decide whether Shanks being so vocal about the new show is him reaching out to the fanbase or the studio getting antsy about how split the fanbase is and getting a familiar face to promote SGU.

Either way, I was gonna watch it anyway. The premise sounded really crappy, but it seems to have improved every step of the way until the trailers and such we've got now actually look pretty intereseting. I like that it's dark and arc-driven too, although I hope it retains some sense of humor beyond the POV geek dude's geeky comments. Those are a bit too easy to really be funny.

He was at a convention recently..... so he probably got a dose fo the negative attitude towards SG:U from there....

Looks like the screeners for SG:U have been sent out... containing the entire 'Air' trilogy...

A leak of the première will probably happen soon, if it happens at all...

My computer's hooked up to my TV, so it's pretty much the same for me. The 480p max doesn't even bother me, since I tend to watch TV from my bed, which is far enough away that I wouldn't be able to make out every pore on people's faces in HD anyway.

I don't like Hulu...mainly because I don't like watching stuff on my computer. sigh

I follow TNT's "Leverage" on Netflix's online streaming service through my Xbox Live account. It's also presented commercial-free, and in HD.

The show comes out on Tuesdays on TV, and it's always on Netflix by Thursday morning of the same week.

I just wish more shows would follow this format.

PS: If you have an Xbox networked to a PC, you can get the PlayOn media server that allows you to watch YouTube, Hulu, and a host of other video sites, on your TV through your Xbox. I don't have an iPhone, I have an iPod Touch. The only thing that sucks is that the battery's wearing down, so I can only watch like 3 hourlongs or a handful of half-hour shows before it dies.

Have you tried resetting the battery?

Basically, drain it until empty. (And don't be fooled. Touches and phones go out before they completely drain, so you'll have to keep turning it back on until it stops coming back.) Then let it sit empty for a few hours. Then charge it back up to full, but don't touch it. And leave it plugged in and at full charge for a few hours before using it.

With Apple products, this sometimes can reset the battery to (near) original charge conditions. It might get you some more, or nothing. Depends how far gone the battery is. I used to add about an hour onto my Macbook's battery when I did that each month. Now I'm lucky to get anything extra.
