Just thought I'd warn everybody, that the second part of the Atlantis cliffhanger has aired and is available for DL on various sites. No word on the mid break fun with SG-1, but I'm about to enjoy seeing McKay man up with some Wraith Enzyme, and go rescue Ford and Sheppard from the hive ship

Yeah whatever channel airs SGA in Canada has got the second half rights to air it first. Sky One still has the second half rights for showing SG1 over here in the UK, i'll post when the new eps start to air.

No Sky One is just playing through the episodes at the moment, episode 8 airs next Tuesday so the new ep of SG1 wont appear on the net until at least Dec 20th

I'm fairly unimpressed, as always with SGA. And they've given the wraith a political structure (Queens and hives) as well as slaves. It's all starting to sound all too familiar, and if this is the direction they are heading in... why even create a new series, if they're just gonna recycle everything they've done before, with a different cover

I believe this is just the mid-break teaser episode, they've been doing that for a while, just to keep the market interested

yeah, I'm about to watch it... and I'd just like to say: about god damn time. The show's filmed in Canada, it should get aired first here, if not concurrently.

I refuse to download the episodes (which makes no sense because that's pretty much how I watched all of seasons 6&7 of SG-1), and will wait until January (stupid Sci-fi channel).


It can't be any worse of a wait than Prisonbreak will be with it's mid-season finale (AHHHHHHHH!!!!)

I already saw this episode of SG-1 (refering to the new SGA). Very dissappointing.

I thought SG1 was absolutely excellent till this last season...I dropped it, I will have to rewatch this last season before it starts again.

Atlantis is actually not a bad series...

good epi, but man there were some ugly problems with it.

1) as mentioned, the writers on SGA have been watching too much LOTR, as Taela's stupid little ceremony came off as a bit fake. It screams Pippin at White Hall. It was quite obvious she wasn't singing, and the phantom musicians playing the music wasn't quite all there for me. I felt like I was watching an old americanized anime from the 1980's. I hope that they never do singing BS like that again. Just horrible.

2) The presence of a Goauld. This makes no sense whatsoever. You know, they have a system on board Atlantis that tells them when, and where aliens are within the city. I remember it well, the alien lifesigns detector. So I ask, how did a goauld get into the city without them knowing it? Oh, and the answer is: our writers on SGA are a little thick, and forgot about that one.


You take out those two points, and the episode would have been mint. But they weren't, so it's not.

I don't know what it is about SGA, but something about the whole series bothers me. It's not quite fantastic as it should be.
