Didn't see a thread on this. Maybe it's supposed to go somewhere else. If so let me know. I don't know the inner workings of this forum yet.

Stephen Chow speaks on Dragonball:
"I won't have a cameo in the film," Chow said. "My contribution is mainly in the screenwriting department, giving them input and suggestions in the screenplay and other aspects."

Though produced by Hollywood, Chow recognizes some Hong Kong style affecting the production. "It is a Hollywood film but they are shooting rather quickly, so I very much admire their work ethic and how quickly they're doing this. So there are some aspects of the kind of Hong Kong work ethic they've taken, but it's really a Hollywood production. "

Now this might just be the way I'm reading it but it seems like something someone says when they don't really want to say something bad about something.

Seems like he's saying they have a good work ethic and mean well, but going a little fast paced for Hollywood. Might be twisting words here though.

Chow has always been like this; he's inherently evasive, soft-spoken and what not. I wouldn't read much into it.

Yeah like I said it's probably just the way I was reading it.

It is good news though that he was on the writing side!

This doesn't reveal much sadly.

Still it's remarkable he's even involved. My guess is he most likely helped in the humor department, adding gags, hopefully keeping the characters on track. He basically put Master Roshi in Kung Fu Hustle, and it's obvious he borrows heavily from the extreme action side of dragonball z in his films. Heck I wouldn't be surprised with Joon Park in this if there wasn't some bit of back and fourth between james wong and the wackowskis on how to do the fx... I hope so anyway...

not much info but glad that people are talking about the film
