Steven Spielberg Teams with Stephen King for Under the Dome

At least now we know which two didn't survive. I expected the cop, but Angie?

And yeah, that weird girl may be connected to the egg. She came out of the water where Julia threw the egg in and appears to be connected to Angie's death. But then there's another presence peeking around the corners, so who knows?
I think the girl came from the egg, like she's the Dome in human form checking everyone out. I fully expected her to bring the squashed cop back to life but I guess not. :( They keep killing off the only characters I like.

Really? I thought the female cop was kind of an idiot. She just followed Jim's lead like a lemming last season despite the fact that he doesn't actually have any real power and he's so OBVIOUSLY corrupt you'd have to be blind not to see it. She also totally turned on Barbie despite how many people he's saved. I didn't exactly want her to die but I didn't feel that bad about it.

Its only a matter of time before that one idiot tries something stupid with Barbie again. Whats his faces name whos the only one that cares about that one person dying that haunted Big Jim

so, is the season premiere better than last season? I found the acting cringe worthy with some of the leads

I think the writing is just subpar overall (although it seems to be better on the premiere with King writing) & it doesn't help the actors.

I very much enjoy Mike Vogel though, I think he's one of the better actors on the show with Dean Norris, but overall, I think it's fine, it's just kind of serviceable overall & it's not like anyone has Breaking Bad level dialogue to deliver.

I don't like the angle Big Jim's character is taking. He's corrupt and selfish to the core. He should remain the bad guy, imo.

I agree. Especially with the young actors. Unfortunately
they killed the best one at the end.And what was that about, is this all of a sudden becoming a slasher show?

What I found really cringeworthy was the emergence of new characters that somehow just weren't around the first season. Like the uncle in the cabin. Seriously? He's just living in a cabin outside of town and his nephew hasn't seen him in years? And that science teacher is suddenly the resident science expert trying to solve the dome related problems, yet somehow she was nowhere to be found last season. LAME!

Despite all this, I still found this episode to be better than most of last season.

Man I am really tired. I read the thread title as Stephen King teams with Stephen King. :p

Isn't that the way TV guys they always kill all the people the fans like they never kill off the people fans hate.

I find excessive use of the word cringeworthy cringeworthy.

Yeah, watching this is a serious downgrade after watching True Detective, Fargo, and Penny Dreadful. Guess it just makes us appreciate the good ones even more. :p

Who wants to raise a friendly bet with me about Angie being not dead ?

She probably ain't, she's kind of one of the leads on the show and I don't know why, but I just can't see her character dying for real.

Yeah, I hope she just got her arm hacked off. That would be cool seeing her trying to serve coffee in the diner with only one arm.

I find passive aggressive online trolls cringeworthy!

I hope Angie survived!

Linda! :funny:

"The Dome wanted us to stop the killing"....Ok red, you're smokin' hot so we'll go along with that.

So they give the Sheriff's job to the second stupidest character on the show, he can now work with the creepy kid that locks girls in his basement.....I'm convinced the Dome is simply protecting the rest of us from this lot.

Little bit of high school slasher action at the end there, interesting.

Giving the DJ the sheriff job is like asking Ryan Seacrest to be secretary of defense.

making the DJ sheriff was dumb.

barbie would probably be the best person to make sheriff.

Oh wonderful--this is just wonderful. I waited 9 months for this show to return only to see my favorite character get killed in the season premiere. Why, Steve, why?! :cmad::cmad::cmad:
