Steven Spielberg Teams with Stephen King for Under the Dome

Ive been wanting to catch up on Justified but it's not on Netflix Instant and I dont feel like going through "other means" to get it like I did with season 1.
It's weird how Netflix has Terriers, SoA, It's Always Sunny, Archer, and the League but none of Justified, The Shield, or Nip/Tuck

it's gotta be a contract thing, a show by show basis. Maybe the other shows wanted more money so Netflix passed. :(

FX along with HBO & AMC (when it still had Breaking Bad) is definitely one of the best cable entities out there.

For the acting, Vogel & Norris do the most of it with what they have, but yeah, some actors are definitely terribad, but you know, I kinda feel like it works for the show :D It doesn't take itself too seriously, it's incredibly cheesy; it's certainly not good by any standards but it is very entertaining & fun.

One bad thing about FX though, I think they suck at promotion shows. I still think that's one of the reasons Terriers failed. This was a really good promo

But it didnt even come out until the 4th season of the show
This one was cool too

But, again it didnt come until much later in the show's run
I just got reminded that Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammar have a new show coming out this Monday and they only have 3 ads out.

They might not be promoting that Grammer/Lawrence show much because it looks terrible. I'm biased of course; I generally can't stand Grammer and Lawrence hasn't been good in anything since maybe the first Bad Boys. But it looks really crappy. I can't believe that show is on FX.

So is this worth catching up on ? I stopped watching once 24 ended & it sounds like its gotten stupider

How do you know it looks terrible. That's not an accusatory question I generally want to know because I havent seen anything actually containing footage from the show.

I suppose its on FX for the same reason that Anger Management and Saint Lopez are on there. Partners probably has that same stupid 10-90 deal.

I've finally decided that after the actions of certain of the show's characters that this show needs to be renamed... "Under the Dumb"... :o

I've been having to watch this on CBS website because our local channel is no longer on DISH. Sucks having to sit through the commericials.

Anyway, I find the acting fine considering some of the lame dialog they have to recite.

I had to chuckle when Junior said "Uncle Sam" to his actual uncle. Little things amuse me like that.

Big Jim is getting to be a big pain in the ass. And I'm starting to like the teacher.

We have learned that the producers want Under the Dome to go on for three to five seasons, depending on when CBS has decided they have had enough of the whole summer sci-fi thing. Many questions will be answered by the end of season, like who killed Angie. Oh and one Under the Dome character will escape the Dome. Read what the Hollywood Reporter had to say about it here. And, of course, there were Under the Dome pedicabs.

I didn't read beyond this. Don't want any spoilers.

wow, Rachelle Lefevre looks hot as a blondie at the Con... :hubba

Some of the promos I saw had actual clips from the show. I didn't find it funny at all. And it's a straight-up sitcom, with a laugh track and everything, which seemed weird for FX.

This show surviving for another 3 seasons would be a crime against humanity.

This show is either the very best of satire or some of the worst written drama on television.

It has big ratings, especially L+7, making a lot of dough, this will keep going, sorry to disappoint.

This made me laugh. :p (Because it's true...)

LOL

The only way to tolerate this show is if you watch it... under the influence.

I gave up on this show for good two episodes into this season. And even that was stretching things, because I was barely ****ing paying attention to that second episode. I love Stephen King, but Jesus H. Christ.

And considering the rest of his work as a writer, I really believe Brian K. Vaughan asked to be let go from the show after seeing the direction it was being taken in. There's no way the guy behind Runaways and Y The Last Man was looking at the way the last season wrapped and thought to himself, "Yeah, this is good stuff."

They need to just get a definite end season so they can talk to CBS and work things out and not end the show on a stupid cliff hanger. I don't have anything else to watch on Mondays during the summer so I dont mind it sticking around.

Well, that's the problem. They're not going to set an end date, because these damn people seem to think this is a story that can keep going for upwards of ten years.

The ratings have taken a tumble lately, so hopefully it's only a matter of time, but...

Damn, i completely forgot this was even still on.

so glad Phil got shot. that stupid grin he was making after questioning Julia's leadership after the bombing. :cmad: too bad it wasn't a head shot.

can Melanie go back to being dead? the actress is horrible.

the tunnel in the school locker, of all places, has gotten my interest. i'm actually looking forward to next week's episode just to see where this tunnel leads to.

if they continue with the summer sci-fi run. it'll be without the dome starting next summer. hell, maybe without Extant too which is also struggling with ratings.

Somewhere out there a CBS Exec is reading this comment & saying **** this guy the Dome is here to stay for the next 10 years & Phil will never die either

this show is so screwed up in several respects, I should know better and yet I still watch it... but that tunnel in the locker has REALLY intrigued me...
