I imagine Spielberg's involvement helped work out getting all these properties represented. He was the main reason why they were able to get all the Disney and WB characters in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which was technically a Disney production. Plus they had all those other more obscure cartoon characters like from MGM and Charleston and what have you.

I really think that this is Steven Spielberg on a "Hey youngsters, I'll show you how a blockbuster is done in 2017 with the same tools you love to use nowadays."

It's also kinda satiric when you think about it, as it could be seen as THE response to the recent reboot/throwback/fanservice trend in major blockbusters.

Haven't seen the latest trailer but saw some gifs and I'm excited AF. This looks so awesome.

I need more fan-service throwbacks/easter eggs to whet my appetite. I probably won't even recognize most of them (only the recent ones/after 90's) but I still want more. I want to explore all the cool old/new stuff hidden in the movie

Young brunette white dudes are a dime a dozen in Hollywood but you gotta have a particular talent to stand out. Sheridan has done good indie work.

Spielberg + sci-fi + nerd referencing + old school homage in a reality removed form life = box office win.

Really looking forward to this.

Plus 'the mode' in the trailer always helps. One of my fave bands in the world.
