:awesome:

Now that is a freaking kickass poster bathed in retrowave goodness!

That Delorean poster is cool but I can see how it would confuse people into thinking it was a Back to the Future movie.

Is Mark Rylance’s character supposed to sound so flat? They’re showing tv ads for this now, and when his voice comes on, it just sounds really bad. He feels miscast, not that I have any idea how the character came off in the book.

I didn't get that sense in the book, but it's open to interpretation. This is Rylance's.

Yeah, he sounds almost robotic. It's possible he sounds that way because they've chopped up his dialogue and just put the really important parts together. (I don't know if that's the case, but this is a common thing in movie trailers).

Just saw the new tv spot on the nfl playoffs.

nice featurette cannot WAIT for this

LOVE the version of Take On Me with a choir wow

yeah that tv spot was on my Instagram and Facebook earlier.

The TV spot yesterday didn’t really do it for me, but the featurette sure did! I’ve gone from nervous to accepting to now excited about the changes the movie will make.

The role should theoretically be the Willy Wonka way in and play to a certain degree with the 'magic' and expectation of that, the passing of the mantle and the book character has that charm and drive, that feel, I agree, with comments, here, with Rylance he sounds bored ****less.

My one wish for this generation's children is to be able to stare in awe & wonder at this film, they way I did at their age, at the original Tron.

This film has been made on the back of the book for '80's kids and it's a magic ride.

TBH we've only seen him in one bit of the trailer, it could be different in the final film.

I read a post on reddit that said Mark Rylance's character in the book is autistic and kind of standoffish, so that may be what Rylance is trying to do.

They might be going for a Wonka parallell, too, where he seems kind of old, uptight, stuffy and boring at first, and then explodes into something else entirely.
