Final Trailer
[YT]D_eZxSYRhco[/YT]

This really is Tron for this generation. I said at the time, a few weeks back off the back of the last trailer, that I hoped it would have all the 7/8 year old's in wonder as Tron did for me when it came out.

It looks fantastic, cannot wait.

Bandai be smiling with the Gundam being on all the posters.

"MORE MONEY!"

New Empire Covers....Spielberg ahoy !!!!

Am just :hmr: over him and the coverage for this....

To mark the imminent release of Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One adaptation, Empire Magazine is paying homage to the legendary filmmaker with the Spielberg Takeover Issue, which is set to hit shelves this Thursday.

The mag has debuted five different versions of the newsstand cover, four of which spotlight one of the director's most iconic and enduring films.

You can probably guess what most of them will be, but check 'em out below along with the Ready Player One cover and let us know which movie you think stands out as Spielberg's best.

The covers are (including RPO itself) plus.....

E.T.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Saving Private Ryan

Jaws

They are some of their best covers for a good while....

Its E.T. all the way for me.

I can't wait to see the finished film, I know some people seem to be doubting it but I trust Spielberg has delivered an entertaining film

I don't care for the part where they're running as Halo characters in the Oasis and running in reality simultaneously.

yes, they're real...

Jesus there is so much vitriol being thrown at this movie on Twitter. At first I thought it was reaction to the movie itself but it seems to be all about the oosters

So much damn whining like damn...

The posters are awful but the trailers make the movie look like CGI orgy-fueled trite.

The posters are bad, but outside of them looking bad I’m not quite sure what they’re hoping to achieve with them.

Same thing the book and, presumably, the movie is - “look at this thing! You remember this thing!”

Yeah... I got a feeling this movie isn't gonna be that great...

Those posters are... I like the Bullitt one I guess?

Eventually we are going to run out of nostalgia.

At which point we’ll become nostalgic for the days when we had nostalgia.

The film has begun screening, and the early buzz from what I've heard has been really good.

These millenials, boy. Spielberg back to his 80s kitsch...*****es don't even know.

I bet those who have bashed it on social media will end up loving it!

I expect it's going to different from the book but that's to be expected, as long as it's a fun film then I'm game!

Posters don't look great, but I am getting good vibes from the movie, even if I don't love the look.

"The Post was pretty good! Spielberg's still got it."
*Film Twitter a few months later*
"This movie's gonna SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK"

By the way people are reacting to these posters, and the movie in general, its as if Ready Player One killed their childhood pet and burned down their house.

Wow, I don't get the hate.

I saw these posters for the first time on my way to work today and it was alot of fun seeing which ones they did. They were all along a block in 4's. Everyone I know thought they were really cool and enjoyed turning the corner to see what other films were there. I was tripping out at the fact there was a Lost Boys poster on the corner in the first place and then realized as I got closer it was for this film.

They caught me by surprise and maybe seeing them like this in actual person and not at a theatre or online was part of the charm. It would have been cool if these were not released online and just randomly scattered. Which is what I thought was happening.

I don't know, I thought it was fun marketing and it certainly plays into the film. Isn't not advertising this film with pop culture nostalgia kinda like not advertising candy for Willy Wonka?

Maybe it’s nostalgia overload.

Wow. Even Sonic seems to be in this movie!
