Wow, I don't get the hate.
I saw these posters for the first time on my way to work today and it was alot of fun seeing which ones they did. They were all along a block in 4's. Everyone I know thought they were really cool and enjoyed turning the corner to see what other films were there. I was tripping out at the fact there was a Lost Boys poster on the corner in the first place and then realized as I got closer it was for this film.
They caught me by surprise and maybe seeing them like this in actual person and not at a theatre or online was part of the charm. It would have been cool if these were not released online and just randomly scattered. Which is what I thought was happening.
I don't know, I thought it was fun marketing and it certainly plays into the film. Isn't not advertising this film with pop culture nostalgia kinda like not advertising candy for Willy Wonka?
