I had an interesting conversation with a buddy of mine a few weeks back. I was talking to him and another friend about BB and TDK. Me and the other friend were praising BB while my buddy just sat there silent. I was expecting him to start singing its praises. He shocked me when he told me he has yet to watch BB. He said he's viewed a couple of clips, but he refuses to watch the movie. Now, keep in mind he's a life long Batman fan and has always wanted to see a faith adaptation of the character on film. Here is his reasoning why he won't watch BB or the four previous films...

"You're not supposed to see his eyes when he's wearing the cowl. I won't watch a Batman film until they put in the white eye pieces in the cowl."

He has no idea what he's missing. So, what are some of the strange reasons you've heard fanboys say for refusing to watch BB or the other Batman films?

"It's is not a Schumacher film"

"There's no Robin in it"

"It's just a prequel"

I haven't heard of anything like that, that's pretty sad.

I confess I was joking. Those would be stupid reasons though.

He should watch it... then he'd have something to really complain about.

Is he on crutches?

mental crutches?

I told myself I'm not going to watch in on dvd until the week of TDK comes out. We'll see how long I am "master of my domain".

"It didn't seem like it would be a good Batman film."

I didn't bother to ask if he had read any of the comics...He did like the Burton films though, so I dunno. I'd guess not.

He also claimed never to have seen Memento or having seen it but forgotten about it. :oldrazz: Obviously no taste in quality....

1. There are no monkeys in it.
2. All movies need to have monkeys in to be any good.
3. It wasn't "Dunston Checks In" or it's smash hit sequel "Dunston Checks Out".

I tend to agree with #3 and #6. The rest are just laugable in my opinion.

"They should just kill him off, theres too many of them."

i feel sorry for you for the fact that you consider that guy your freind

I overheard this mother tell her son that at Target the other day.

Yeah, that's almost as bad as revealing to your kid that santa's not real. And just about as bad as saying that you'd like Santa to get killed.

2. The batmobile doesn't look like the one in the comics

Dark Knight Returns.

3. Ra's al ghul is a caucasian ninja terrorist instead of an arabic dark skined terrorist.

10. They re-casted Alfred.

Oh, the irony of this thread. It's almost overwhelming.
