Watching BB again recently, it dawned on me that Crane actually made his first appearance as the "Scarecrow" when he encountered Rachel while on the horse as that was the persona that he at that point evisioned himself.

So technically, Batman has yet to truly face Scarecrow.

I guess you could say that.

I thought that was a nice nod to Loeb and Sale with Crane on the horse.

Batman kicked ass in this movie.

Does it bother anyone that Batman doesn't seem to be physically imposing?

I think years of reading the comic has given me that hang up, but I have to admit that Bruce Lee comes across as very imposing in spite of his diminitive stature.

By no means am I suggestion that Bale's Bruce/Batman is a small dude but there were quite a few people in this movie that were as large or larger than him.

In the comic books, few are his physical equal.

It's hard to find an actor with that kind of size. (outside of wrestlers, and I'd hate to see The Rock as Batman) But Bale was by far the most imposing live action Bats to date.

Well its gonna be hard to top Liam Neeson for height.

I know what you mean, though, but Comic Bats is 6'2" and so is Bale (i think)

How was Bale not imposing? Did you even see the scene where he goes and does like 50+ pushups in a matter of seconds? Dude was built like a brick **** house.

I read recently that Jett's interpretation of BB is that Batman truly begins at the end of the movie with him meeting Gordon on the roof discussing "escalation" and the mysterious Joker.

If this is truly the case then how does this impact the 2nd movie? Will the next movie just be more of the same or will Batman's characterization and the whole portrayal of the "world of Batman" be somewhat altered, sort of a Nolan's Batman Begins on steroids.

In other words, will the next movie more closely resemble the current comic book Batman Universe in look (Not talking about spandex) tone and mythology.

I'm guessing that casting so many tall people alongside Bale was a conscious choice. (Of course, they're all excellent actors in the first place.) One of the movie's big themes is father figures, and having some of them as tall as or taller than Bruce/Batman (Ducard, Alfred, Fox, etc.) subtly reinforces that theme.

I've thought about this as well. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

What does 'going public' mean for wayne enterprises?

Why did joe chill leave bruce alive to identify him? and what's up with him shooting wayne and his wife anyway? He just wanted the pearls wayne... let him have the pearls...

The cops during the chase scene are such goofballs.

so batman just leaves a big hole in the room of two arkham inmates so they can escape?

What did bale drink before he said his "It's not who I am undeneath line." He sounds like Mouseman.

thanks for your time.

He seemed pretty imposing when he practically crushed Crane's skull against that wall....

In the comic books, few are his physical equal

Actually, alot of other are taller than him in the comics.....

What does 'going public' mean for wayne enterprises?

I thought it meant that other compaines and people could buy the shares up for sale for Wayne Enterprises. Since Bruce bought most the shares.....he owns the compaines. Atleast, I thought that's what it meant. I think we should talk to a Wallstreet yuppie or something.....lol....how about Pat Bateman?

Indeed. The scene is a bit iffy. Anyhoo, he didn't shoot Bruce because he thought he had done enough harm already (after all, he didn't intend to kill the Waynes), and besides, Bruce was just a little kid.

It would have been a nice touch if after Chill killed Bruce's parents they would have made eye contact and had Chill creep out by the look in Bruce's eyes.

Ever notice that in the solitary cell, when Ducard meets Bruce, theres a line that Bruce says "What makes you think i need a path?" It almost sounds like he's saying "What makes you think i need a bath?"

Oh yea, now that i think about it, how long was bruce locked up?

Is it just me or does the little old asian man/ cell mate look alot like the dude who was in the mountains, "no turn back"

"I will tell him, you saved his life"

And he looks like the asian crime boss in Batman 1989.

That guy should be in the Batman sequals too.

I think we all should have a little old asian man in our lives.

What is the neck of Batman’s cowl made of?

It wasn’t part of the suit Wayne acquired from Fox? Nor was it a component of the graphite shell that Alfred ordered from China.

???
