Basically this is a thread for all those ridiculous lines in superhero (or not) movies that have a sort of weird backward brilliance to them. I'll start with some of my favourites and some of the most quoted around here:
"BILLIONS" - Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor in Superman Returns
"SWEAR TO ME" - Christian Bale as Batman in Batman Begins
"No you **** this" - Wesley Snipes as Blade in Blade
"Marco...polo...marco" - Julian McMahon as Dr. Doom in Fantastic Four
"Let's go talk about how we listen" and "I kid you not" - Correy Mendel Parker in a legendary role
"You know what happens when a toad gets struck by lightning? Same thing that happens to everything else" - Halle Berry as Storm in X-men
"I'm taking you to the Cool-ah." - Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze
"DAMN!" - Josh Pais as Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Seriously, these lines make me laugh every time I watch these movies, cause their such pure gold. :woot: Anyone else have favorite lines like these?

"Nothing will stand in our way! NOTHING! "- Doc Ock

I really fail to see the humor in this. What's so legendary about it?

Because the guy is supposed to be a science teacher, and yet he thinks he's some badass, super-hip, fast-talking ass-kicker. He's awesome.

He's their teacher. He was acting like a teacher. Again, I really don't get this fascination. Apparently I come from a different educational background than most people, because my teachers were strict like that one, science or not. And I'm glad they were in retrospect.

"Everybody loves a hero!" and the ensuing speech given by Aunt May during Spiderman 2.

"BILLIONS" - Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor in Superman Returns

I don't see how this line is notable in any way... other than, of course, the obvious fact that there isn't even close to a billion people in all of North America.

I thought that Spacey's "BILLIONS!!" and "WROOONG!!" were just so mustache-curlingly cheesey that I can't help but laugh at them, and not in a good way either. Lex shouldn't be a cheesey villain, let alone shouting in someone's face like a 3 year old. Even in the silver age, he wasn't a loud-mouthed idiot like that.

And lest we forget "Krrrryptonite."

It's such a shame too, 'cause Spacey could've been a really awesome Lex with the proper script and direction.

I agree with you, Spike.

No line in any movie should be mentioned before this Batman & Robin classic, courtesy of Random Gotham Cop #2 -

"My lungs are freezing!!"

"Punch me, I bleed" from Spidey 2. I literally cringed. Whoever penned that line should have been punched. :down
"SWEAR TO ME" - Christian Bale as Batman in Batman Begins
That line, and entire scene, was badass. :batty:

Oh god yes, actually most of the Peter Parker dialog throughout the entire serious was down-right laughable. His awkward speech to MJ in the hospital room immediately springs to mind, and OH! it's not actually a "line" but the silly faces Tobey Macguire makes when he's supposed to be crying or something are just SO over the top I can't help but laugh no matter how EMOtional the scene is supposed to be.

"hi freeze I'm batman"-batman and robin and lets not forget the whole skating scene was horrid.

I gotta say, I actually like that line amongst the poo that was the rest of that scene.

The "SWEAR TO ME" line from BB was nothing short of class. The line, the delivery as well. One of the best lines in the movie for me.

Stan Lee from Spider-Man 3 - “You know, I guess one person can make a difference.”

I burst out laughing when I heard it, I wish he would stop having cameos in all the Marvel movies cause really they are not necessary at all

Yeah, wow. I'm usually fine with the Stan Lee cameos but that one was just so awkward and forced.

It did seem a bit out of place, but I smiled when I saw it. It was like a cool inside joke. Although, I certainly see how it could come across as a 'that was random/WTF?' moment, especially if someone didn't get the connection.

:woot: That cracks me up everytime, meaning the only time I actually watched that movie.

How about all those kid lines from Spiderman 3? They are so lame, but I crack up all the time. Like whats that one when Harry shoots Sandman with the rockets, "Wicked Cool" or something like that.

This line isn't necessary stupid but it was just funny, "Are you *****in me?" Wesley Snipes in Blade

"Superman will--- WRONG" Kevin Spacey as Lex. For those who didn't like his portrayel I recommend reading some early Superman Comics. There are 3 main Lex Luthor's out there. 1. The Lex like we see on Smallville, 2. The Lex like that of Superman 1&2, and 3. The Lex from post-Lex days before he was called that (forgot what he was called), he acted some what like that but they changed him.

No. He did not act like that in anything other than the movies.

In the silver age, he was a serious minded scientist. In the post-crisis comics, he was a serious minded businessman, manipulator, and scientist. In both incarnations, he'd have some classic moments of sarcarsm, but never the "humor" that SR had to its ridiculous extent (the toothbrush "Loish Lane?").

Gene Hackman's Lex is closer to Spacey's version than anything else, but his overthetop charm made it work, the same way Frank Gorshin's Riddler worked back in the 60's Batman. Neither of which were a whole lot like their comic counterparts in their mannerisms, but the actors pulled it off. Spacey didn't have that quality of charm in SR to help him with those overthetop lines. Kevin excells at the quiet moments in his roles, and he did fine with those in SR (with the material given, that is), but not the parts where he'd do the imitation of Hackman's humor.

I actually really liked that. Everyone was cheering in the theatre when that happened.
