A nice read. It's nice to know he's such a nice guy and committed to the character.

And if this isn't a Cullen offering his approval to this movie, I don't know what does.

To play devil's advocate, he basically said he hasn't seen too much from the movie and doesn't really know what to expect from it.

i love this part...

the great Peter Cullen said:
I was just explaining to a person earlier that when I watched Optimus for the first time and the beeps went off to signal me to speak I was speechless. My jaw kind of hung down. I went "oh wow." And they rolled it again and I was speechless still because I'm gawking at it and it was rather humorous. I had to apologize – "I'm sorry guys but this is awesome." So that's how that went.

...it makes me wanna see the movie even more!!!

If Cullen approves of the movie, then its GOTTTTTTTT to be good :)

Um... calll me dumb, but, where is this?

Oh... thought he signed on here like other people in the biz have done. Thanks for clearing that up.

I still think it's cool that it was his daughter who urged him into going to the conventions, and back into the Transformers...

All I really take out of it is that he hasn't seen much of the movie, except for where he has to speak, but what he has seen amazed him... Sounds promising!:woot: If it's good enough for Optimus Prime, it's good enough for me!

does Peter Cullen have a myspace page? i'd LOVE TO ADD HIM 2 MY FRIENDS LIST!

I'm sure that Mr. Cullen would very much like to find work and payment in further Hollywood productions. His words are to be judged in that context.

He's promoting the movie. What do you expect to him say?

truth be told, of course he's going to say nothing but positive things about a project he's involved in...but it'd be nice if you guys try not to make Cullen's reaction out to have lil' to no importance...after all, hardcore fans wanted Cullen for Prime so bad. the fact that he was actually floored by what he saw has got to count for something right?

see my last post here.
how about you be patient? you only posted that post not even an hour ago.

Amen to that! Some people are so quick to denounce this film before even seeing based on the fact that everything isnt 100% accurate to G1 or Tformers lore or whatever.......change is good, learn it, like it, live it :trans:

Ok, fine. DOES he have a myspace pg?

dang dude, are you new to message boards? if no one answers your question then it means they don't know...

...so....i don't know.

If he was, in fact, floored (which one has no real reason to believe) , it only goes to show that a guy who worked on the first animated series 20 years ago was impressed by the special effects. Please forgive my lack of euphoria over this factoid.

so...having his jaw open the first 2 times he was supposed to start recording because he was speechless doesn't mean he was floored? what's he supposed to do? literally fall to the floor?

anyway, i see what you're saying about a 51 y/o voice actor being floored by awesome special effects but i find it funny that the hardcore fans put so much faith in Cullen to come back and voice Prime because ya'll love him so much but when he reveals that he's loving what he's seeing his opinion suddenly doesn't really matter? i know he's not exactly James Cameron but he's the only person in the the movie that had anything to do with the original cartoons.....

...but don't mind that. he's just an old voice actor that knows nothing about anything. :whatever:

He's A Living Legend!!!! How Can U Say That?!!!! He's The Reason Optimus Prime Was Such A Big Hit!!!!!

We didn't say his opinion doesn't matter. But I have yet to see an actor bash the movie they're promoting. Especially when they want to be involved in the sequels to get more royalty checks.

Spiderman 3 cast bashed the film during the press circuit recently.
