lol. I never noticed those yellow dots on the ground. After I finally noticed them, I got it. I haven't tried the Dino Piranha speed run again yet. I gave it four attempts yesterday and failed miserably...

I'm up to 22 stars now. I just came back from the Drip Drop Galaxy.

I am 9 stars away from getting Luigi. Some of these comets are pretty tough.

I hit 120 last week... yeah, those things are no joke. I got Luigi, but only did the first star with him because I was hoping something new would be unlocked right away... it wasn't.

Damn. Did you get the Daredevil Comet for when you have to fight that rock boss in the Boo-level?

I don't understand why everyone found this so difficult. I did it on the second try... all you have to do is run around him counter clockwise (as close as possible) and time your spins. There's a lot harder bosses out there.

I died 15 times trying to get that one before I just f**king gave up

Is Luigi any different than Mario?

He's a little less stable to control from what I've seen... and it was harder for me to pull off a triple jump with him. I'm gonna start working on his play through this week. I'm looking forward to many of those stars again.

I know he jumps higher. He probably still runs like a ******. Yeah, that's what you get for getting every star in the game.

There's a 121st star. I wanna get that. I need all 120 stars for Luigi.

The Boo level rock boss on Daredevil was definitely a challenge, but it was probably the funnest part. Im at 52 stars and so far that was the only actually hard one. Although this Bedroom levels seem like they'll be harder.

The Garden is a *****. I did that last, and it is a real *****.

I think I'm on star 17...

I'm trying to make it through the speed run for the Dino Piranha and I'm trying to do that challenge where I have to blow up all of that garbage on that little planet in 30 seconds. Ugh, I'm having a hard time on that one. I tried like a dozen times and I always run out of time. Usually just less than a second on one garbage pile, waiting for a bomb to explode.

Does anyone have any tips on that?

There's two of these in the game, and the second one is tough as nails. My suggestion would be to throw the bombs in a location as quick as possible (by jumping on the bombs... it's quicker than running up to them and picking them up). When you throw multiple bombs in a location they blow up together and span a larger area.

I left those 'til last too. I like the Engine Room for hte most part, and the Garden... but the Garden is no joke.

I just beat Bowser. He was too easy. The whole final level was too easy. Now, I have a challenge with trying to get Luigi.

Is there a 100-purple coin comet for EVERY planet?

Bowser is VERY easy... but Bowser is not the game's biggest challenge by far. The final boss in the garden (which by the way is the first boss of the game... just... enhanced) is (in my opinion) the game's toughest boss.

There's many purple coin challenges, but not in every galaxy. There's two comet challenges per galaxy, and sometimes they're daredevil comets... fast foe comets... racing mario comets.... and purple comets (purple coin challenges). There might be another... one I can't remember....

And the purple coin challenges vary within themselves. Some are timed, some galaxies only have 100 coins... etc...

Major Burrows was easy once I figured out what to do. The rock ghost was only hard because I was too impatient.

I would rather get as many stars as i can before i beat the game. Im sure Ill get 60 before i can actually get to the last boss. Although, apparently ill give up at the garden

I got 80 before I beat it. I just beat it today in fact so I could attempt the Purple Coin Stars. I got 4 so far. The one in Good Egg Galaxy is effortless. The first bee level has one, it was pretty easy but a bit of backtracking. The Battlefort one was a bit tricky b/c it's on a moving platform, miss one and you have to restart. It was pretty simple though, I just barely got one. The space junk is timed (2 min), it was pretty easy. I got lost at the end but made it back with 10 seconds left.

I'm at 103 stars. My brother is at 119 and stuck on that luigi purple stage on the Toy world. that one is killer to me

119! Damn. I'm on 86 or 87. I'm finishing up a lot of the galaxies I got most of before. Once I do, i'll start getting into the galaxies I got 1 or 2 stars in.

That was the first purple coin challenge I did.... I think it took me about a good 40 minutes before I nailed it. Probably the toughest of the 120 stars, I think.

I'm at 11 stars with Luigi... obviously I'm going a lot slower this time around, but it's fun to revisit the same levels. Bee Luigi isn't as cute as Bee Mario though.

I got my 120th star over the weekend, but I don't feel like playing through again to get the 121st.

Overall it was a fun game. There were somethings that took me 10 tries, like the second garbage bombing star, but those kinds of challenges were less than 10% of the game.

Was there any use of the Flying star outside the garden and the spaceship to reach that one 1-up mushroom?

I was playing this at the store earlier, and a guy and his girlfriend or wife came over, and the dude was like, "man, I will not be getting that Wii...I don't want to be sitting there moving around constantly." The girl said, "It looks fun to me, you must not have any stamina." The dude was silent after that, but I was over there cracking up to myself the whole while.
