Here's a freeverse poem I worked on. Let me know what u guys think.

Normal

Why can't I be ordinary?

Why do I have to be able
to clear buildings in a single
bound? Why do I have to be
considered a savior?

I do not wish to be a hero.
I do not wish to see through
things. I do not wish to be
faster than a speeding locomotive.

My only wish is to be normal.

Nice job. Brings in the heroes thoughts well and all are realistic.

I actually did sort of the opposite thing in the one poem I wrote...it was a bout a hero who wanted to be a hero, but he couldn't because he failed.

thanks. well i guess u could say it a lil bit inspired from Smallville. since the poem obviously is expressing Superman's dilemma bout wanting to be normal. so i guess u could look at it as if it was a poem that Clark from Smallville could have came up with during the first season.
