SuperHeroHype RPG.......LIVE!

I might be down for another game.

Well, seeing as I just got laid off and now unexpectedly have an abundance of spare time, I'm down for playing a second game. Running another game, though, is probably a bit much, so I shan't be GMing.

Speaking to Byrd about it, it seems Sunday is the best time for us. Between Friday's recording of the podcast and Thursday being a night that I'm usually busy, it's the only option really left. Which I'm totally fine with.

I know I don't partake in these boards, but I'd be down for it.

We'll definitely consider it. You have Skype?

I'm in too. Sunday is good for me as well, cause I work Mon-Fri. nights.

Okay, since Saturday's session of M&M was such a success (to us, anyway), Byrd and I were brainstorming the idea of maybe doing a separate game alongside M&M to do during the week. And what better way to parallel a game that essentially is based in it's own world than doing the opposite and going with the DC Adventures Game?

Problem is, we need two key things: Players and a DM. Since Byrd and I only just got into this, neither of us are particularly qualified to be a Gamemaster - plus, frankly, neither of us really want to run the game. We just want to play it. With us in as players, we'd have two of six slots filled.

The DC Adventures Game - by the way - takes place in Pre-New 52 continuity (around the time of Brightest Day), and you can play established characters or make up your own, giving the stats of actual DC mainstays to your own character. So if you want to play Superman, that's fine, but you also have the option of playing your own guy with Superman's powers or someone who resides in Metropolis aswell.

I have the DC Adventures handbook as a nifty little PDF file, which I'd happily give to anyone who wants to join and get a feel for what the game would be like. Just PM or IM me, or voice your interest here. Any day besides Saturday, which is when we're doing the M&M game, or Monday is fine with us.

I'm still jugging time to find out when (and if) I can run a game, but in regards to a DC game, I've had the idea of having the PCs make their own created supervillains, and then try to take over DC's Earth. Feel free to steal that idea.

If nobody wants to be the GM for the DC game, **** it. I'll throw my hat into the ring! I'm a n00b, but I've read the book. If Andy's playing, he'll be on hand to tell me when I **** up as a GM. I can cobble together a decent enough campaign. That's right, racist supervillains FTMFW!

Hey guys. So, I took it upon myself to help Andy out by designing the "miniatures" of our characters to use in Traipse once we learn how to use it. So, if y'all wouldn't mind, can you give me as in-depth a description of your hero's appearance and costume as possible? And once I've finished your miniature, I will be posting them in the thread for approval by the character's player, where you can feel free to tell me what you like or don't like about them, as well as anything you'd like me to add (effects, powers, weapons, etc.)

Also, wieg, I'll ask right off the bat, but how much if not all or none do you want your character's piece do you want to be visible/invisible?

hell, this is practically a miniature in itself

just happened upon it right now

Here's a mirco trusty made for me a few years back.

Thanks for the micro to reference, Byrd. As for the rest of you, I'm going to need full body descriptions, because here's an example of what they'll look like:

Also, I'm going to take a vote on this, but do you guys think it would be cool if I made them look like actual board-game pieces by putting the character models on a platform of some kind?

So, are we hooking up tonight?

hmm, I should rephrase...

Are we having group sex tonight?

I don't think so. MST3K is out of town. It ain't an orgy without our power bottom.

I just thought we were going to figure out how to use this damn program tonight.

Ok, I think we should use MapTools instead of OpenRPG.

It looks a lot easier to use, is very powerful, and has tons of video tutorials.

...MB? Twy? MST?

Bump... Or maybe I should go ahead and come up with designs on my own?

MY guy is 6' 6" 540 dressed in black pants, black t-shirt, black trench coat, black fedora, and dark glasses.

Heads-up, guys. What with me losing my job, I won't have the extra money to buy the adventure modules for the next part of the game. Granted, I can write an original adventure by myself without the pre-written stuff just going by what they've got in the rulebook, but that's really arduous and time-consuming, and most of my time now is going to be spent looking for work. So it's probably going to be a while until the next session, until I get back on my feet.

Give me some time and I can come up with a micro of mine. I sketched out a rough design last week, but my scanner's acting up.
