I just missed it last night but it was apparently some kind of "configuration error" on the part of a company called Fastly that does a lot of cloud business with a lot of the internet.

So turns out "the cloud" is not always so useful when you stick so much of it on the same service.

I joined this site in 2007 because of that damn ARG. My screen name was <Starscream>, and I don't think I ever posted. Two years later I came back, but wanted a different name. I didn't know you could change names, so I just created a new account, which is this one. I wonder if the original account survived the site's facelift. I hope it did.

I apparently posted twice, and the only one on record is a post about Smallville. That makes sense. Also, someone named adams01 left a bunch of gibberish on my profile's talk page. Good times. It says the last activity was in 2017, though. That's... concerning.
