Superman & Lois Superman & Lois General News & Discussion Thread (TAG SPOILERS!)

It’s never made a lot of sense to me for Superman to allow himself to be filmed or photographed up close when his disguise is a pair of glasses, different hair, and a slouch. There’s hiding in plain sight and then there’s being stupid.

I love that Superman finally has red heat vision for this show. I'm wondering if they'll also change Kara's heat vision as well.

Same. The blue heat vision is a minor detail in the grand scheme of things, but it still bugged the hell out of me!

I liked the concept of the blue heat vision, tbh. Because it starts out in her eyes as red, and then goes blue like it gets hotter.

I just wish they had used instances of it when it was less hot and still red, like when she used it on food or something.

If this is a success and goes on, they better let Diana show up at some point! And I guess Bruce to.

I’ve said this before, at this point DC needs to just say f*** it and let the CW have their own Wonder Woman and Batman. Superman & Lois could potentially be the beginning of the next generation of DC Tv shows bringing in the heavy hitters and building towards an eventual Justice League. We’ve got Flash, we’ve got Martian Manhunter, GL is coming soon with its HBO Max show, and we’ve got Superman. Lets get the last two pieces put in.

Looks good. I am also happy the heat vision is red instead of blue. Still wish Clark could maybe bend a knee as he's lifting the truck as it still looks like he's being lifted by a crane and not actually flying and lifting the truck, but still looks good otherwise.

But what's that other thing Superman is lifting? Looks reminiscent of Superman Return lifting New Krypton. Looks like ice.

Im praying that they have enough of a budget to not use majority of the same locations all Arrowverse shows use over and over and over again.

I don't think we'll have to worry about that if a majority of the story takes place in Smallville.

So surprised she was really dismissive of this show when the trailer dropped

The TCA Panel for the show just started, so there's gonna be a lot of tweeting today.

PLEASE let S&L be included in this. Could explain why the S2 renewal hasn't been announced yet.

Well, that co-financing thing doesn't appear to include S&L for now. That Twitter got that info from the same Deadline tweet I posted above, and here was the context:

The CW already is forging deeper ties with WarnerMedia’s HBO Max, which has emerged as the current SVOD library home of new CW series. The two companies also are discussing co-financing original summer CW series to premiere on the streamer with a next-day airing on the broadcast network.

So...summer shows. Not the current DC ones. Right now, anyway.

Helbing says his earliest conversations with Berlanti revolved around one question: “How do we make Superman, in general, different?”

Everyone seems to be more interested in making Superman different for some reason.

The CW’s next Greg Berlanti-produced series is a family drama in the vein of classics like Everwood and Friday Night Lights — only this one happens to have Superman in it.

Please dont have this turn out to be a bad thing. I know both shows were good but will it translate well for Superman?

Really? REALLLLY. REALLY!
