Superman & Lois Superman & Lois General News & Discussion Thread (TAG SPOILERS!)

I could do with the serious edge being toned down a smidge. But if they don't I'm still good.

Although I will say, I think padding the super suit is too much. Like Reeves and Reeve and Allen's Supermen, I never needed Supes to be some super-buff, hard-body. His strength doesn't come from extra muscle mass, after all. I think it was Cavill who really showed us a buffed-up Superman, which comes off as too much for me.

In his appearances on Supergirl, Tyler didn't use a padded suit and his physique looked just fine there. Normal, every-man, kind of look, who no one would give a second-look to in a suit that wasn't bulging at the seams. They've done it now though, I just don't think they needed to...

So rude of CW to be gone practically a year and still give us a month long hiatus.

Never change networks....
How about that it’s been almost a year since Supergirl season 5 ended and it’s great to have it back if only for a few weeks. COVID-19 sucks deal with it.

Is there a month-long hiatus now from the last Superman & Lois episode to the next?

You know what? I dont want to deal with it. Ive been dealing with it. Did I say anything about Supergirl taking its place? no. So does this have anything to do with SG? No. CW can manage their shows better, they still have a whole Friday slot thats been vacant. They have the air time to give us both so Im more than good. Thank you.

Naturally it's always a slight against Supergirl even if you haven't said anything about it whatsoever. :o

Two month break after episode 4.

Actually, the first five episodes will air back-to-back, so we have three more to go and then a seven-week hiatus.

If the plan is to air the final ten episodes of S&L consecutively, then the season finale will be July 20 and Supergirl could return for its final episodes on July 27. That is, of course, if there aren't any more delays.

That makes sense. Would line Supergirl's final 13 episodes up with the 13 episodes of Stargirl too.

Well I’m glad to have SG back earlier than expected, but also this is some weird ass scheduling, lol.

I saw an interview with Bitsie and Tyler where they alluded to the production schedule barely being ahead of the episodes currently airing...like unusually so, as if they’re barely finishing the episodes in time. So I wonder if this is partly to give the production team a little more time and breathing room to get further ahead and ensure things don’t get too rushed.

Regardless, I’m cool with it.

I think that has a lot to do with it. It's definitely weird scheduling, but at least we'll have new episodes of Supergirl to tie us over until S&L is back.

I get that there's probably a good reason for it, CW adding more episodes at the last minute probably didn't help either, but this scheduling just makes me wish they'd waited longer to premiere the show, they do these breaks way too often and it really kills the momentum of their shows.

I see that Legends is on 6x08

Regardless, I’m cool with it.

I can believe it w/COVID slowing down productions. It seems like they are currently nearing the end of 1x06 and David Ramsey is gearing up to direct 1x07 and he'll also be our first Arrowverse connection as well. But wow they started in what? October? That seems like forever ago.

I think CW gave them a heads up to write two more potential episodes because they already had all 15 episodes written before the additional 2 were announced.

Hope it doesn't hurt Superman and Lois' momentum. I think we can clearly see what kind of shows Superman & Lois and Supergirl are - one is family and the other is political.

It is kind of a bummer that it's going to possibly lose momentum going forward. At the same time, I would rather have to wait if that means the quality of everything stays the same. I'll wait two months on that.

I never really got into Supergirl. I did watch when Hoechlin appeared as Superman. I really enjoyed his first appearance. Wasn't always a fan of the way he was written in the show. He's really won me over in "Superman & Lois" though. I have a feeling by the end of it, he could end up being my favorite.

Sucks to hear about the hiatus, but atleast now I know I have some awesome shows to look forward to over the summer between Superman & Lois, Stargirl: Season 2 and Loki, so I'm not complaining.

I find hiatuses weird tbh but it’s a thing in the States. I’d just wait til there episodes to run on schedule but I don’t know.

Still I’m not worried about the break I think it might actually be a good thing.
