Well, right now, he more or less looks like this, so dunno how much he can bulkup in a month, plus the suit measurements are taken well in advance, after that, he cannot increase/decrease his weight.

Full disclosure I’m not a Superman fan. I get and respect that he’s basically the first comic book superhero and none of the ones who came after would likely exist without him. I’ve simply never felt a connection with the character. In reading some of the posts for this presumptive Superman and Lois show I’m seeing some fans in their excitement, I’m going to assume unintentionally, are saying things that are less than respectful to the Supergirl show and Tyler.

I know in the comic books that Supergirl is a spinoff of Superman but in the Arrowverse it’s the opposite. Just like there would be no Arrowverse at all if Arrow hadn’t been successful there would be no CW version of Superman if Supergirl hadn’t been a success. It was the Supergirl writers and showrunners who cast Tyler and created this version of Superman. Without Jon Cryer's version of Lex I doubt this Superman and Lois show would be in development. It’s the Supergirl showrunners and writers who created this version of Lex. It’s the Supergirl showrunners who got Jon Cryer to play the part. It appears that Jon really loves the part to the point where he's willing to make less money than he could elsewhere and it was his experience working with the cast and crew of Supergirl that contributed to that. It’s possible to be all kinds of excited for a Superman show while still respecting the Supergirl show it spun off from.

I’m going to assume the comments about Tyler’s body are coming from a desire to have a “comic book accurate” Superman. The fact is most humans don’t have the body of comic book character. I’ll also ask over the 80 plus history of the character haven’t there been less muscular versions of the character. Consider that Tyler may be one of those guys that don’t easily get big budging muscles and his natural build is slimmer. It’s true that at times he’s bulked up but he may have had to spend many hours in the gym to get that way and he may not have enjoyed it. Tyler clearly puts some time and effort into keeping in shape but if he dislikes spending hours lifting weights then I don’t think fans should repeatedly request that he does. What started as a desire to have him look like he did in Teen Wolf may have gone too far. Look in the Flash thread and you’ll see how Grant had to clap back when fan’s bodyshamed him for not being muscular enough.

I have no desire to get into it just provide food for thought. If you disagree simply ignore this post and carry on.

That's my wonder, yeah. Will this be airing during the same period that Supergirl is airing? Not that you can't have both at once, but at least in the case of Arrow, that's ending while Green Arrow & The Canaries will be starting after that.

But then, if the Batwoman/Supergirl Sunday airing isn't hurting either in the ratings, I could see them just slotting the Superman show into Arrow's spot.

According to Deadline, the straight-to-series order for Superman & Lois may affect/delay a final decision on Green Arrow & the Canaries. I.e., S&L may be the only new Arrowverse show for 2020.

I would think they'll put it in a lead off timeslot.

It figures to be either the #1 or #2 show depending on if it can dethrone Flash. They'll want to use it to try to prop up a lesser show with its lead in like they have traditionally done with Flash.

So I figure it'll be one of the other new shows or one they're trying to milk some extra seasons out of like Riverdale.

I think James Olsen could go to Superman and Lois unless they recast him as a result of the Crisis.

They ought to recast him after Crisis. Maybe he was one of those who didn't survive on Earth 38. We can't be having someone as Jimmy like Mechad Brooks next to Tyler Hoechlin.

Maybe Winn becomes Jimmy as a result of the Crisis. Or Winn is Jimmy on a different earth, and that is the only Jimmy they have.

After all, Ray Palmer is Clark Kent.
