From COIE:

Why was Clark
confused/surprised when Lois said boys? They should have the same memories since he’s not a paragon.
Good question. I feel like that's one of those writer oversights like that time Oliver had a Kryptonite arrow even though he shouldn't have even known Kryptonite existed or had any access to it.

I'd also put money on a President Lex storyline happening on this show now that Lex is the beloved hero of Earth.

Although I just remembered that Reddit post that had spoilers for this ending mentioning something about J'onn restoring some people's memories? So maybe it's a result of something from the cutting room floor.

I have a feeling they're saving the Superman/ Lex Luthor interactions on his show than Supergirl.

Now we can have Earth-96 Superman appear in Superman and Lois and Supergirl.

I hope it’s not an oversight! It was too obvious to not be a seed for a future storyline.

Either way, consider me intrigued.

Not really. They’re just ribbing each other.

Ah, got it. Thanks for the clarification.

I had almost thought that Lex had permanently jumped onto Supergirl's show.

I'm actually curious on whether we will see Tyler and Elizabeth again on Supergirl's show before this show premieres, especially with Lex having unfinished business there.

I bet he will show up on Supergirl once in a while but it’s logical to expect that he will move full time to S&L.

I think we might have another Supergirl/S&L crossover before their show starts.

Because of Crisis that gave us Kingdom Come Superman and Smallville, I want an Into The Super-Verse storyline in both Superman and Lois & Supergirl!!

Honestly, I just want to see Superman and Lex have an actual scene where they exchange words with each other.

And hell, if that goes well, then I'd like to see Tyler's Superman actually feel like a leader/mentor to other heroes and for him to be involved in the big group moments.

As much as I love Smallville their take on Darkseid was bad. So I’m hoping that whatever future season that they do get too him I’m hoping that they do him and the rest of the New Gods justice. I mean after the Anti-Moniter their next buildup should be the New Gods after a couple other crossovers first tho.

I think more than ever they'll both likely show up again to help set up the momentum of the spin off. With COIE I hope that they used this to reset some things (Cat Grant...though they wont). It's interesting that they straight up set this to series while not as faithful in GA&tC.

Well yeah, it's Superman. It was always going to get ordered to series. The pilot was a formality they simply decided to forgo.

They already filmed a backdoor pilot for GA. They may as well see what the reaction to it is before they make a decision.

You'd think the same for a movie but we see how that's (not) going....

The last four Superman films (Man of Steel, Returns, III, IV) were box office flops.

Not counting Krypton and Supergirl:
Adventures of Superman ran 104 episodes
Superboy ran 100 episodes
Lois and Clark ran 88 episodes
Smallville ran 217 episodes

Superman on TV is money.

I have to agree about that.

For sure but it still stopped them long enough while having faith in films.

Not only has he had financial/ratings success on TV, but my personal favorite screen incarnations of Supes were also on TV, so aside from the production values (which is why it's such a shame this show won't be joining the new age of superhero TV on a premium streaming outlet with more money), I think the character and his world are generally best served in this medium. Like, his alter ego's job and day-to-day life actually plays a big part in the character's charm and appeal, and superhero movies today are more concerned with having 40-minute battles/spectacle than with devoting time to the things that actually make the character work, imo.

If this show ends up being a big hit as well then do you guys think that this will increase Superman's chances of being positioned in a more prominent position/lead in future crossovers? The popular belief is that he's been sidelined in favor of others because of his current status as a "special guest".

If Superman gets a star on the Walk of Fame, it'd be for television. He has extensive history on TV than Batman starting with the George Reeves TV series.

With Krypton cancelled and Superman not being a priority for movies, I hope they use the original Brainiac, Lobo, Darkseid, Mongul, etc.

I want to see Superman and Lois do its own version of both Leviathan, where Lois was prominent, and Flashpoint with Project Superman & Lois Lane and the Resistance.

If his series delivers numbers bigger than The Flash.
