Bryan Singer actually meant it, about not stepping over Smallville's toes, this could easily take place in Smallville's future.

Lex would have lost all his money, because supes would have foiled his plans so all he's left to is this, same with the Superman TAS show, Lex was rich and had LexCorp in Justice League they finally got Lex sent to prison after that he become the more pre crisis mad scienctist.

and then there's the flashback, which look's like he's about maybe 14 so before Smallville started he was wearing glasses, after that point in the movie he realises he no longer need's glasses, but this later gives him the idea to use them in the future.

i think Smallville can easily take place a few years after the flashback in the movie.

yeah besides the fact that everyone in smallville knows his face unless he used that thing the men in black used. Lois, hell heven LEX knows his face.

Sorry the movies have NOTHING to do with that show whatsoever. That show dug a deep whole hard to climb out of.

For goodness sakes, Smallville has Jimmy Olsen appearing this season (running out of ideas) and hes older than Clark ....

Smallville doesnt fit with Superman.

well, I think that's the plan with all Superman props at WB.

Smallville will never go into full superman mode (even though a lot of fans want it to). I just won't, because then it begins to tread on ground already covered by STM. Yes, it has some changes to it, and some different perspectives. But it still pretty much lines up with STM. We really didn't get to see very much of Clark's youth in STM, only a run home, and then Pa dies. So SV covers the youth, and the years while he is 'studying' at the fortress.

SR in the same way, lines up relatively well with STM and SII, and arguably, SIII aswell.

There is logic to the madness, in the way that we are getting a prequel to STM in smallville, and a sequel to STM in SR. It's actually a pretty good business plan, and keeps away from creating 2 different versions of the same universe.

No...they're about the same age. But that isn't necessarily better either...:down

Clark just turned 19 before the finale and Jimmy is said to be in his 20s.

Jimmy is older than Clark.

yeah Smallville, really screwed a lot of things up. however, i do enjoy watching the show.
