(sighs) I meant that if the Trailer gets Online BEFORE SMALLVILLES FINALE. Most will NOT CARE TO TUNE IN (those that can) Those that already cant view Smallville are screwed either way. But between the Smallville Fan Base already watching Smallville & the Superman Fan Base that dont like the Show Period will more then likely NOT BOTHER watching the Finale because the Trailer is Online & everyone will have it memorized word for word, scene by scene long before the Finale airs. If the WB expects to have a RATINGS JUMP they are better off putting something ENTIRELY NEW in terms of a Preview for Superman Returns. As I said if its the Trailer most will not care to watch the Finale (those that can watch the Finale)

Because they would have already seen the damn thing 1,00000 times Online & already have the Big Screen Experience with Mission Impossible 3. The WB has to put something ENTIRELY NEW during the Finale or they are screwed in terms of expecting a ratings jump

Not true at all, there is definately a select group what wouldn't have watched the Returns trailer online and are interested in the finale of Smallville. There also another group, who are interested in seeing the Superman Trailer in bigger format on their televisions, so they will tune in.

I am interested to tune in to the finale anyway, to see what they pull off, the Returns trailer would only enhance that, but you're right that everybody is different.

Online premiere that Thursday, with it probably airing on that night's episode of Smallville--even if it's NOT the Finale.

Watch. I will BET YOU that's what happens. Too much is being made over Smallville's audience and people's reasons for watching the show. Tempest in a Teapot. Mission Impossible III is going to be huge and is kicking off the Summer Movie Season. Sticking Superman's trailer at the VERY FRONT OF THAT is a smart move. And throwing it online the night before, w/ a premiere during a Smallville episode? Also a good move.
