oh,I didnt say it was as good as spidey or the HULK,it just reminds me of those..it could have been way better.Fighting metallo over and over gets really old really fast.

It's not as good as Spidey 2 and NOWHERE near Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Those are some good suggestions, Robin; along the lines of what I expected. This game is a decent start, but there's a lot that can be done to improve it.

Ive kept my mouth shut because I was honestly hoping it would be good.

I have it for 360. The sound is good, the graphics are good, but the gameplay is pretty lame. I did beat it, because it's just so fun being Superman and flying incredibly fast and having all of the powers at my disposal. But the bottom line is that there is little need to finish the game because it is ALL the same. The tornado fight didn't piss me off as bad as the "flying dragons trying to destroy the blimps thing." How freakin lame.

At any rate, I give this game a 2 out of 5 \S/'s.

Hopefully one day they can combine the awesome features of being Superman that gave this game the 2 \S/'s but with better use of the Superman villians and not so many flying dragons. I mean the bots I can stand but dragons?

they really need to make it more like Spiderman 2 in how the randomness of crimes are... one of the things I don't like is how all events are marked with spots on the screen... that's linear, not non-linear, like EA said that they would make.

I beat this game in four hours. It was really too easy and VERY repeative. What a waste...

any one knows how to save the blimps? I am having a hard time with the dragons and saving the blimps

YOu only need to save one of the blimps. The easiest way to do this is to just keep using your Super-Breath to blow back the dragons that are trying to set it on fire. Try to keep them back, eventually, if you blow and move properly, you'll situate yourself directly behind the blimp (I usually just do this on the last one, like I siad, you only need to save one) and while at the back of the blimp, flying backwards while blowing the dragons back. You'll get some close calls as your super-breath recharges and they come forward, but just keep blowing and watch closely. Everyone once and a while you'll get knocked from the sky and will have to rocket back up blow them around, and regain control of the situation with your super-breath. You just need to keep donig this until you get to the bridge on the upside of Metropolis...then a cutscene will play saying "thanks for the BJ Superman."

Yup ... yet another casualty of EA Games. I honestly hoped this one would have been the Superman game we were all waiting for, but when news that EA was going to rush it to time with DVD releases surfaced, along with the decision to cut out licensed music (clearly to save $$), I knew this one was doomed.

Well, may be if we're lucky, UbiSoft will get the license like they did 007.

Not to rain on you, man, but having tried it, if you *really* like this game, then it's the Superman fan in you talking. No way is this a good -- even mediocre -- title. It's craptacular.

I hear you Robo -- but if you've played this game, I hope you'll agree that it makes a LOT of simple mistakes (broken camera, no constant plot, buggy) -- all I'm saying is this is another licensed game that tries to sell itself using the "S" symbol -- as a game, well, it's arguably prettier than the N64 fiasco, but it's not that much better of a game -- nor is it that much fun in the traditional sense.

I'm not anti-EA, but I would like for games like these to sell fewer copies than they tend to. It's the chief reason why we keep getting mediocre Superman games -- publishers can just stamp big blue into generic action sequences and viola, sell thousands. Until we demand more, we ain't gonna get more.

I respect those who liked it, but seriously, compare it to even the LOTR license games from EA, or even the Batman Begins title, and you'll see what we got was more in line with EA's Catwoman than either of those.

Totally hear you, man. Not sure about the Xbox version, but the PS2 one I tried has a piss-poor framerate.

Since I'm a Superman freak like the rest of us, I might actually buy this one when it hits the $19.99 bin at the EA Store, allowing me to use one of those monthly $15 off coupons -- that way I'd pick it up for about $10.

Sadly, even that sounds like too much at the moment ...

Like Superman Returns the movie, lets hope the sequel to the game learns from the previous one's mistakes and incorporates the good points in addition to making the game more....varied? I don't know because I haven't played it yet.

I like free roaming as Bizarro. It's pretty fun destroying cars and beating up on people. BUT they should have included a defense meter or something. Kinda like the Hulk game. I would've like to have seen like, one bar raises the police come after you. Then another bar raises, and a special opps unit comes after you with high tech weapns. THEN for the last bar, Superman comes and fights you. That would have been cool. Oh well...

It's a damn shame all the costumes we saw on the E3 PSP footage weren't in the game. I have the PS2 version, and I liked it for a bit, but now I need more. Since my b-day is coming up and all I plan on gettinga 360 and SR. I must play it on the system is was created for. Not to mention it has lots more details and mini games.
