Superman Returns Superman Returns videogame screenshot!!

No game ever will deal with what you are asking for, it's almost impossible.

I'd rather them concentrate on getting one Superman game right before attempting to make the end all-be all Supes game, which sounds a bit unrealistic as it is.

oh really now?... it deals with every aspect of Superman's history of the past 68 years of Superman lore?...

no it doesn't.

Ok, did you even read the front page and what it reported?

Electronic Arts will ship Superman Returns: The Videogame, licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, on November 20. The game, which features storylines from both the Warner Bros. Pictures' film Superman Returns and more than 60 years of DC Comics' content, is being developed by EA's Tiburon Studio in Orlando, Fla., the award-winning studio that develops Madden NFL football, the most popular sports franchise in videogame history. Superman Returns: The Videogame is the ultimate open-world super-hero experience and will be released on the Xbox 360(TM) video game and entertainment system, as well as current generation platforms.

See firsthand what it is like to be Superman in the first multi-dimensional open world game, where you can go anywhere in the 80 square miles of Metropolis, from the street up into the clouds. Revolutionary new flight mechanics gives the player full command of all your aerial maneuvers. As Superman, the player must protect Metropolis from the most well-known villains in the DC Comics universe and conquer more than 100 missions that only Superman can overcome including saving Metropolis and its citizens from destruction, battling enemies and saving the planet from natural disasters. Make split-second decisions about which superpowers and moves are best suited to defeat the multitude of enemies. The game will feature all the classic superpowers, but learning to master all of them during flight and combat will take work -- even for Superman.

Superman Returns: The Videogame ships November 20 and will be released on the Xbox 360, the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Xbox®, Nintendo DS(TM). The version shipping for the Game Boy® Advance is titled, Superman Returns: Fortress of Solitude. The game is rated "T" (Teen) by the ESRB for the PlayStation 2 console, Xbox and Xbox 360. It is rated "E" (Everyone) by the ESRB for the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance. Visit BeSuperman.com for more info.

and this is what is happening. there will always be a better superman game coming out. maybe in 5 years it will be closer to what you want. it takes time. by then you can play superman returns :cwink:

oh okay, so this game will include things like Our Worlds at War, The Death of Superman, The Return of Superman, Crisis on Infinite Earths, Infinite Crisis, For Tomorrow, Hunter/Prey, Doomsday Wars, Birthright, Superman II, Superman IV, Hank Henshaw, The Cyborg, the Eradicator, The Screaming Banshee, Satanus, Lexcorp, DNAlien, Superman red and blue, and Superboy?...

bull****. Saying that it covers over 60 years is just propaganda to get consumers interested

For one, It didn't even say there would be those events in the game. Sure there will be things that happened over the years, but those aren't it. How about we wait and see what they actually mean?

It would take years for technology to allow for that type of gaming experience. By then we most likely won't even be playing games anymore, but actually living in them.

I think we would all want to see that in a game, but please explain to me how that would be possible on the PS2 or the next generation consoles, nevermind future consoles.

There will be elements taken from over 60 years of Superman lore.

60 years is MORE then enough for me. YA know, I never got into Superman comics, I've just liked the movies.

You should start reading Action Comics. Richard Donner and Geoff Johns are on the book and it really looks to be a compelling story.

I do check out some of todays current comics. But I'm saying is I got into Superman through the movies and only the movies. My brother pointed that out to me one day.

I wanted a game you could go to space, to Smallville, talk to Lana, Pete Ross or just chill as Clark Kent...I wanted an origin of Superman movie game. That would be awesome. If you could walk around Smallville, change to Clark Kent in the Daily Planet and do reporter missions...That would be a dream come true...

I was hoping you go to Smallville as well, I believe you can go to the FOS though right?

Last I heard, the FOS was just a menu screen or something that allowed you to save. Something along those lines. It wasn't an actual in-game type of deal. That was all unconfirmed chit-chat though; nothing official.

I got ya.

That would have been cool to feature the FOS and Smallville, but you can't have it all.

I am going to get Justice League Heroe's on Tuesday along with Bully.

How did Harrington play today? He looked good vs the Pats.

He sucked early (2 INts in the first quarter), then played decent enough to get us a shot at a last-second tying FG (miss). My head hurts.

Thanx for the DL on that trailer. Good screenshots too. I they've been posted before, I missed 'em.

The trailer shows some potential movie scenes that sadly were not used. It looks much more action packed obviously.
