The time-old question: Who's better?

Now, I know this is also a sensitive subject, so be very careful when posting. No flame wars, no saying "U sux Supes rules lol!' or stuff like that.

To head off the more obvious arguments, here's a .gif.

Both have no parents
Supe's parents killed by explosion of planet as they try to save it
Batty's parents killed by theif
- 1 for Supe's

Costumes
Capes - Bat's actually uses his cape to help him glide a little
- 1 for Bats
Belts - Bat's actually uses his belt to hold stuff
- 1 for Bats
Masks - Supes doesn't even have one
- 1 for Bats

Total so far 3 to 1

I know Morg, it's a repeated thing, and (if I've heard correctly) is a very prone to thread wars. Hence the .gif, to cover most of the less-than-new arguments, or at least a good chunk of them.

Masks - Supes doesn't even have one

I always thought it was great that Superman didn't wear a mask. When you've got power of that level, most people wouldn't dare think that Superman spends his time as someone else. I know I wouldn't. Why would he be anything other than Superman? It's like that great moment from some comic where Batman reveals to Superman how he discovered his identity, saying that by choosing not to wear a mask, Superman uses the best mask of all, the complete masking of an alter ego altogether.

And the argument of, "He doesn't have one," doesn't work. It's like saying, "Superman has superpowers, Batman doesn't, therefore, Superman is better." It's just not fair.
