SUPERNATURAL Season 8! - Part 1

I fully agree with slimshady, I mean you always find a fault. If you think that its awful, you should just stop watching. I mean God knows I had my complaints of this show on Season 6 & 7 and even now it's far from flawless, but man, I don't think everything is bad about it. But of course, if you need PERFECTION or if you need things the way you see it entirely, then maybe you should just stop watching if you find it that awful! It's not gonna be perfect, nothing is! As much as people praise Nolan's trilogy for example, there are some faults than can be find there too!

I mean jeez, what did you expect? This show was based on the whole Lucifer vs. Michael thing from the start! That's how it was built! Of course the seasons that come after that, since basically it was stretched, won't be as great nor as exciting but I say the writers did a decent to good job after using the best material, so it could've been worse. Anyway since you complained since season 6, I can't understand why you keep watching? I mean personally I couldn't watch a show I don't like anymore, just for the sake of watching.

I'm not "always" finding a fault... nor am I seeking perfection. I just don't think the show has been that good in the last couple years, and I feel that the season finale jumped the shark. The brothers don't stand for much of anything anymore, regardless of what they might spout. Dean talked Sam out of winning the war in an over-the-top, angsty speech that, at this point in the game, doesn't fit. They've both died, they've both seen their own hells. They know closing the gates is monumental.... and they just didn't do it.

:lmao:

Bringing in ratings for your argument, huh? Would you say shows like Glee is better than Supernatural then? Lol.

So essentially the demon trials were moot/cancelled.
And the Angel "Trails" were just a "spell" Metatron had Castiel partially do and he himself finished?

And Crowley is now Human...cause he sounded pretty genuine at the end there..
Hell's still open, but angels have been cast out.

Is that it?
Assuming it is, that. I don't see it as being as "clear" as the likes of "Lucifer Rising"

The trials to close the gates of Hell were stopped as Dean didn't want Sam to sacrifice his life.

The angel "trials" weren't trials at all and were only a lie from Metatron. They were merely ingredients for a spell to expel angels out of Heaven.

Crowley isn't fully human as the last step(blood from the hand smashed into the demon's face/mouth) wasn't executed, but he could be semi-cured after those rounds of purified blood injections.

It's pretty clear because all of this is shown.

There's a difference between clear and makes sense. The Crowley situation for example. But like I said, looks like we'll have to wait a season for all of this to be confirmed.

So Metatron needed Cas to commit to ugly acts before taking his grace I assume.

I liked when metatron's motivation was seeing how ugly current world history has become. In the last little bit here it was revealed that he was more moved by his being cast out by his brothers...

I need some clarification on something: is Kevin's mom dead or not? And if so when was she killed? I remember Crowley saying he did kill her to Kevin but I thought that was shown to be only a hallucination? Unless Kevin still thinks it really happened....I'm confused.

You got it right. Kevin just hasn't figured it out yet. Tiger Mommy will pop up again next season.

Wait I just read that he did kill her and that scene where Crowley confronted Kevin did happen and he did kidnap him. The scene in "The Great Escapist" was Kevin in a fake boat designed by Crowley to give him the illusion that he was safe or something like that (I was reading the synopsis on Superwiki).

Yep; Crowley indeed killed Kevin's mom and kidnapped Kevin to only make him believe he was still inside Garth's boat as shown in "The Great Escapist".

Didn't Kevin mention that all he got for his troubles was a dead mother ? So I do think that he does know that she is dead

According to Carver she's dead, but it was an off-screen death. You never know.

So wait! Is Crowley cured or what??!!! This finale was awesome! Can't believe Booger put the smack down on heaven like that though!

Is Crowley cured or what??!!!
Well uhm.. basically NO, since the finally step of the "exorcism" wasn't completed (Sam didn't highfive'd his mouth!). So who knows if now he will get back to being demon and all that human blood was for nothing or if he will remain human as he started to become,... I Was hoping for a human Crowley though.

I think it's gonna be Crowley with a conscience. Carver hinted that Crowley is gonna be different next season so I expect him to have more feelings this time around.

At the Asylum Convention for Supernatural this weekend, Mark Sheppard said this about Crowley:

Crowley is vaguely human. It will hopefully be explained more in season nine.

Crowley with some morals is what I'm thinking next year.

Wow Crowley is here to stay it seems. Longest lasting villain. That's 5 seasons.

I love it! Can't wait to see what Crowley is like next season! Best character decision since Cas went all power mad in season 6.

I'm just wondering if he'll be a recurring villain or whether he'll stay cooped up in heaven.

So many questions.
