SUPERNATURAL Season 8! - Part 1

Wow, really?

As much as I love these characters. I think I will always wish that it ended in season 5.

I am thinking it may be time to close the doors on this series soon too. I still watch the show and enjoy it but it's become too focused on the over all story with the Heaven/Hell storyline and not killing a monster of the week. Though there might not be many left after all these years...

Id rather they focus on an overall story, but that story hasn't been good lately. Not like seasons 4 and 5

That may be it too. I did enjoy it more when they were just on the road, killing things and having Bobby (RIP) gripe at them as he helped them out. The focus with the Leviathan and subsequent storyline lost some luster for me. If they can bring back a good story with this then it won't have to rely on some new monster to kill to keep it interesting.

It will have 23 episodes, Misha Collins will direct an episode and more Winchester back story.

EDIT: Also Castiel is a regular again.
Thanks for the infos!

So honestly how much longer can this show go? Heaven's doors have been closed, Angles are falling from the sky, dogs & cats living together. Mass Hysteria!!

2 more seasons at most. That is if they drag out this story line.

Carver has a plan to go to season 10.
Well I also hope it will end @ season 10 and with a blast!

There are still many filler episodes in the show where they hunt some monster/witch/whatever without any connection to the main story, so what are you talking about man?

As much as we want it guys, this show will NEVER be as great as it was S1 to S5!! Because that was the WHOLE purpose of it, to have 5 seasons and end with Satan being the last big baddie! Whatever came afterwards wasn't as good and it's normal cause no one really planned it to go on for as many seasons before!

However, unlike other shows and despite all this, SPN continued to be good at least imho, Seasons 6 and 7 may have been the weakest, but their were still pretty decent! And with Season 8 it got better and I truly believe Carver won't let us down for the LAST 2 SEASONS (hopefully the last ones though!).

When you create a show with a certain story in your head and then you drag it and force it even more, the result cannot be as good, but the best you can do is to try to maintain its quality to a certain level! And I believe with SPN so far, they achieved that. Thankfully, it didn't turn into another Smallville for example, if you know what I mean!

I envisioned at one point the last season being like the first. They have gone through all this crap, & the last season is like the end of Hurt Locker. They are trying to deal with the boredom of just being back to killing simple creatures of the week.

The CW is rerunning "Man's Best Friend With Benefits" tonight. Probably my least favorite of the season. I don't know which would be my favorite... this season had alot of strong episodes.

Ghostfacers making their comeback?
#GhostFacers back S9 #SPN @westerspace

Putting it into the universe ;) #ghostfacersS9

Yeah, Carver mentioned before that he wanted to bring them back in season 9, since they couldn't figure them into season 8.

He also mentioned that there could be a leviathan episode or two in 9. If they think of a good enough story.

This intrigues me more than the Ghostfacers returning. The Leviathans being used again would be interesting as there's so many questions still out there such as what becomes of the Leviathans when Dick Roman is sent back to Purgatory...did their IQ drop massively where they become just mindless beasts?

Any word on a potential cameo by Death once more. I thoroughly enjoy what little screen time he gets during the show.

I'd assume there's just a big power vacuum.

Crowley
Not to worry. I have a small army of demons outside. Cut off the head, and the body will flounder, after all. Think if you'd had just one king since before the first sunrise. You'd be in a kerfuffle, too.

SAM
Which is exactly what you wanted.

CROWLEY
So did you. Without a master plan, the Levis are just another monster. Hard to stomp, sure, but you love a challenge. Your job is to keep them from organizing.

Meh about Ghostfacers. There were some funny parts, but mostly I find it/them ridiculous. Not very excited, but hopefully that will be just one episode.

About Death, would be great to see him returning, but only if something BIG pops up.

Ghostfacers, yes. Leviathans, not so much. They were vague and disappointing except for Dick Roman and he's gone. The other henchviathans were just so generic for the most part.

I just want Death to show because he makes those pickle chips look so delicious!

When Death appears, things are always interesting. When a Leviafailure appears, it's always like any regular monster.

But I don't want Death to appear regulary, that kinda takes away from the character, he should only appear/have a role if some serious **** goes down.

I wish the writers would just make Death God. He does everything God can. I always thought it'd be cool.

Also a possibly ridiculous yet cool idea I was toying around with was wouldn't it be cool if we found out the Winchester bloodline was cursed? I was watching "No Exit" and when they told how John got Will Harvelle killed I just realized everyone close to the boys have died. That'd be an interesting story.

Well, they are descendants of Cain and able, I suppose Cain killing his brother could have put a curse on the bloodline.

I actually think that's not far from the truth and "breaking the curse forever" would make for a cool ending for the show.

EDIT: Cool news, Jim Beaver got cast in Crimson Force as one of the leading roles, a new film by Guillermo del Toro. The film also features Benedict Cumberbatch and Jessica Chastain! :D

I don't think there would be a point to do that, Death already is a "God", depends how you look @ it, but both him & God are the most powerful beings to even be mentioned/appear in SPN! I'm not sure how much more powerful Death could become and even so, what exactly would be the purpose of that? He already has all the power.

Well it was already explained about their whole destiny etc. back in Season 5. Idk how much they could stretch their storyline that we find new things about it. And btw, don't they already consider themselves "cursed" anyway? They've been through so much $ H 1 T lol! I don't think finding out they really are cursed could affect them anymore.

WhT if they found a way to break it though? That could be an interesting storyline for the last season.

After this show ends, I really want a happy ending for Sam & Dean. Maybe they die & meet up in Heaven with their parents.

I'm really not keen on them continuing to be hunters. You can see how much Dean also wanted a normal life the Djin episode from Season 2 and in "Dark Side of The Moon" from S5.
