Anyone up for Swamp Thing turning up and getting a spin-off if things go well?

I'd hope that he at least maybe become a semi regular on this show.

Introduce him for a couple episodes towards the end of the season. I doubt the general audience will accept a regular Swamp Thing on their TVs.

They did 14 years ago with his own show. Who's to say Goyer & Cerone won't work on a ST spin-off?

Yeah, Swampy had a TV series that lasted 3 seasons for 72 episodes.

I've still got my fingers crossed that he'll be in Guillermo del Toro's Dark Universe/Justice League Dark film... and hopefully spin-off from there into any sort of format.

If he can get a jump start here? That could be awesome, but I'd be worried about the costume effects. Different budgets and all that...

I hope so, then they can gauge the popularity and maybe give him his own spinoff/movie.

He has to look awesome though. If they can't make him look awesome don't try

I'm aware of the old show, but I don't think a new one would be well received. Probably because people want more realistic superheroes these days.

Was the Avengers realistic or the upsoming Guardians of the Galaxy?

We are getting a talking tree in Groot in Gotg and Hellboy movies did pretty well.

I think a well made Swamp Thing would do good at the box office exactly because he is different from the average superhero which makes him stand out and gives him a unique niche.

What do you think i would like:

Swamp Thing is just such a natural fit here. He's elemental and many (if not most) of the Dark Arts feed off that specific energy.

Besides anyone can tell you it's all about The Green.

If they had a budget and writing team to do Swamp Thing well, I would be all over it. My fear is that they'll either change him too much to fit the show/budget or just do a generally ****** job on the makeup effects, etc.

They did a pretty good job with brining swamp thing to TV in 1990, I can't see why they couldn't do better now.

Yes, but they have to use this song.

If he's introduced in Constantine NBC will judge viewer reaction and if it is good they will probably go for a spin off.

Hopefully they'll introduce him. I still have some of the Swamp Thing cartoon shows on VHS.

I'd love to see Swamp Thing in 'Constantine', but I worry they wouldn't be able to do him justice. It'd be hard to use practical effects/costume to make him look good, and I'm not sure they have the budget to do a fully CGI Swamp Thing. Perhaps They can have Alec Holland at a later date, with Constantine being aware that there are various different incidents leading back to Alec, and that somehow something somewhere is trying to get to him and him learning about 'the Green' and thus educating the audience about it. Could be done.

I own the first and second season of swamp thing on dvd I highly recommend it

I just thought it was a foregone conclusion that Swamp Thing would at some point in S1 be included. Just like we are getting Pappa Midnite, Swampy is just as logical.

The scryed map has John traveling the country....a few of those dots are going to be in Louisiana, so....Swamp Thing.
