I just got back from seeing this and I wasn't impressed. I will say the movie is better than Taken 2 but that's not saying much. The plot is predictable and the action scenes are ruined by quick cuts and in some instances shaky cam. It's like Megaton didn't learn anything from the mistakes in Taken 2 in regards to editing and filming action scenes. Also, there is on part that really took me out of the movie. Slight spoilers, but there is a scene where Neesons character Bryan Mills is being pursued by the police in a building. The movie shows that mills is in the building and not near any possible exits ( no windows, doors etc) and then it cuts to the building blowing up. Then it just cuts to the next scene with mills far from the bulding on a pay phone talking to the police. I was like " how did he survive that?".
The movie doesn't bother to explain and it's almost as if he just teleported out of the building somehow. Anyway, I can't say this is a good movie but it falls in the "meh" category. If only you want to see is Nesson beat up and kill people, then I guess you might have fun here. I wouldn't recommend anyone paying full price to see this but if you must see it in theaters, I would say see it at a matinee. Hopefully, this is the last Taken movie, but they kinda leave it open for a fourth movie.
