Haha you see the last line recalls the first movie when the bad guy said that to Liam and now he's saying it so it's funny because then it's kind of winking at the audience that it knows it's saying the line from the first movie!

Wow, this one actually looks like a proper sequel rather than lazy rehash. Kinda like the DMC3 to Taken 2's DMC2. Love the callback to the first film's iconic exchange.

I never got around to watching the second one, I bought it on DVD from the bargain bucket but it looked so dull from the trailers that I never bothered.

This trailer completely took me by surprise, instead of a rehash they have just "Taken" the Mills character and put him a fresh, bigger scale plot with some badass action and set it in the US, looking forward to this now!

Bump this comes out next week and i've watched the first two films today.

It's a pity that they had to
Fridge Famke Janssen
though. That's disappointing. I kind of hope that the let Maggie Grace be a proper badass herself this time around.

Did anybody venture out to see this tonight? What did you think? And
why didn't Xander Berkeley come back to play Stuart?

Was Forrest Whitaker the worst part? I only ask because he's been the worst part of like, the last 10 movies I saw him in.

Eh, he's his usual Forest Whitaker self. It works here.

Basically if you're not sick of watching Neeson kick random ass over and over as he does, you'll be satisfied. My old man will see it because he just likes watching dudes his own age still beat the **** out of younger ones.

This was a bad ass movie.

I just don't understand why Oliver Megaton is so untalented.

With a stage name like that (yes its his stage name), he's not living up to it.

The action in this movie is absolutely appalling and unacceptable by any standards. It's a joke.

Crap I bought a ticket to see this tonight with a gift card. I still plan on seeing Selma tomorrow but from the reviews it seems Taken 3 is a waste of time. Hopefully, I can still get something out of it..

I just got back from seeing this and I wasn't impressed. I will say the movie is better than Taken 2 but that's not saying much. The plot is predictable and the action scenes are ruined by quick cuts and in some instances shaky cam. It's like Megaton didn't learn anything from the mistakes in Taken 2 in regards to editing and filming action scenes. Also, there is on part that really took me out of the movie. Slight spoilers, but there is a scene where Neesons character Bryan Mills is being pursued by the police in a building. The movie shows that mills is in the building and not near any possible exits ( no windows, doors etc) and then it cuts to the building blowing up. Then it just cuts to the next scene with mills far from the bulding on a pay phone talking to the police. I was like " how did he survive that?".

The movie doesn't bother to explain and it's almost as if he just teleported out of the building somehow. Anyway, I can't say this is a good movie but it falls in the "meh" category. If only you want to see is Nesson beat up and kill people, then I guess you might have fun here. I wouldn't recommend anyone paying full price to see this but if you must see it in theaters, I would say see it at a matinee. Hopefully, this is the last Taken movie, but they kinda leave it open for a fourth movie.

6/10

I heard that Taken 3 is unintentionally funny. And not in a good way.
