this thread is IMO proof why other directors are not showing their top list of movies.

some people think that if you are an artist you can not judje other's work.some people think that their list needs to be the same as their favorite director. if this doesnt happen some are hurt.
fanboys like Drive and fanboys like Tarantino. but if Tarantino doesnt like Drive then ''inception'' happens. boom.

this list is a 100% Tarantino list. and i like that its unpredictable

Eh...I disagree.
If you have a problem with someone disagreeing about your film taste or someone else's film taste for that matter; then you need to re-evaluate yourself. Life is too short to get all hot and bothered over something as meaningless as that. Film taste are obviously subjective...what one person likes another person won't. I don't agree with Tarantino that Green Lantern is a good film just as Tarantino certainly wouldn't agree with me that Drive was the best film of 2011. This has nothing to do with our personal character. Someone can have what I'd consider great film taste and be a horrible, untalented person. Someone can have what I'd consider horrible film taste and be a great, very talented person.
Its something that happens on the internet a lot; usually its in the form where people attribute a person's film taste to their intelligence but nonetheless it's such a ridiculous way of thinking. Film taste are film taste. period. They do not define your character.
I don't see whats to get 'hurt' about. Besides, I liked a lot of the 2011 films Tarantino likes anyways

wtf was that all about? I guess it was about someone saying wtf...seriously, that was one of the most pointless thread derailments I have seen in a looooong time, I'm getting too old for this, but aye, ffs, whit wiz that all aboot?

I frickin hated Green Lantern, but, I can see how folk could get into it, esp if they were really into the concept, I have enjoyed many a movie that was pretty badly executed because I have enjoyed the type of tale it was.
As for him putting it over the much worshipped 'Drive', which I have not seen....well, I can imagine that while everyone else is getting carried along by the cool tunes as the cool guy drives around doing cool badass things, QT can see the strings better than most of us, because he is a master at those types of movies, and feels the guy is trying too hard to be cool or whatever, like i am doing now(esp in that opening paragraph, and here in this bracketed bit too), so that can really put you off a movie, because it feels fake as f, I guess that is why he put it in the nice try category.

that is all you have to say fawful, something like that, keep sthe thread going in the direction it was intended to go, defends QT, puts forward another pov/theory...man, I have to say i have not seen you lose it in a thread like this before. Not insulting you, just surprised.
