Awesome. I think it's a safe bet we won't be getting a sequel unfortunately.

I know right? When I was buying this there were two older gentlemen saying they wanted to see it but never did. Maybe the dvd/bluray sales will be enough to change that

I went to WalMart this morning and bought the DVD (regular, not bluray), it had no extras. When my wife got off work this afternoon, she wanted to go to Target for something....so we go there, and I go look at the video department. They had the DVD, but it had a different cover, so I looked at it. Their version had over an hour of extras on it. Son of a beach.

Saw it this morning. Wonder if it's the same stuff on the Bluray?

I saw it last night and I enjoyed it for the most part, I love an oldschool adventure movie and the Congo setting was majestic, while some of the films big moments were fantastically brought to life.

Tarzan is a difficult role to nail for an actor, it's very reliant on charisma which I don't feel Skaarsgard really has, but Margot Robbie was magnetic as Jane, Waltz made a good villain in Rom and Sam Jackson was great as Doctor George Williams, I know he was a real man but did he feature in any of the books?

The film did suffer from some clear pacing edits, there were a couple of abrupt jumps that didn't help the story flow as well as it could have, but the set pieces were suitably epic in scale and the effects work was stellar, I particulalry liked how they captured Tarzan swinging through the jungle and the scene where he made his way through the collapsing bridge to save Jane.
