Taser attack at Wendy’s over mayo

May 19, 2010

Cathal Kelly

A 20-year-old Florida woman has been charged with aggravated assault after she chased a Wendy’s employee around the restaurant with a Taser.

The incident reportedly kicked off on Monday when Melanese Reid objected to the number of mayonnaise and mustard packets she received with her fast food meal.

According to the charging affidavit, Reid and a friend were in the Wendy’s drive-thru lane when the argument first started with the staffer. Words were exchanged. Reid attempted to slap the employee in the window.

When that didn’t work, she stormed into the restaurant brandishing a “pink Cheetah brand” stun gun.

Reid and her friend left after the store manager phoned police.

They were later arrested.

How appropriate this happened in Florida.

Was she white? Cause you know how white people love their mayonnaise. If you deny them mayonnaise, that's like coming between a mother bear and her cub.

I'd be alright with her chasing me. I used to help fellow car salespeople testing out their tasers.

Obviously you guys never had a Baconator with extra mayo. The taste alone is something to kill for.

Apparently it never occured to the woman to, you know, give back the excess packets or keep them for later.

I love these kinds of people :awesome:

I'm guessing they didn't give her enough.

Mayonnaise is disgusting, so I completely understand if she was chasing the employee around for offering her such a vile food cream. I think I'd rather eat a sunblock sandwich than a spoonful of mayo.

Ditto.

Then why the **** did Drive Thru Debby not just hand her some more ****ing mayo. I mean Jesus. It's not like there's a shortage or anything. Just give the crazy taser ***** her mayo and move on.

To be honest, even though Burger King seems to employ the dumbest of the dumb, Wendy's is the worst by far in terms of mayo management. I always get mayo on my sandwiches there, despite my asking for none, and actually telling them that I'm allergic to the vile stuff.

The only thing good on the Wendy's menu is the new spicy nuggets get them with the buffalo ranch dipping sauce. Other than that Wendy's is the pit of the beast.

The Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Baked Potatoes, and their fries beg to differ.

yeah, the baked potato and fries are ok, but the spicy chicken sandwich ain't spicy enough. sometimes I'll ask them to dip it in the buffalo chicken sauce they have then put it on the sandwich.

They are equally spicy to the nuggets. I prefer the sweet and sour sauce on both to be honest.

Yeah, I love Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich, but like you said it's not spicy enough. It's spicier than Jack-In-The-Box's own spicy chicken sandwich, though. Aside from this sandwich, I also like Wendy's new spicy nuggets and their Bacon Deluxe. Wendy's isn't bad, but they don't have as much variety on their menu as other fast-food chain imo, and most of their restaurants don't offer breakfast as well.

I love the Checker's Buffalo Chicken sandwich.

We don't have Checker's here, but we have Rally's and it appears that these two are the same restaurant except their name. There's a Rally's near my workplace and I really love their 2-for-$3 deal, and their seasoned fries is among the best fries I've had from a fast-food restaurant.

yeah, they're the same company. they're just on my way to work everyday. The buffalo chicken sandwiches always get my 3 dollars.

I think I'll get that sandwich next time. We have Farmer Boys here too and I'd eat there more often if it were cheaper like Rally's does.

I knew someone was going to say this. :hehe: I was sort of thinking the same thing and then I thought that stupid situations like these happen in all states...cause there are a lot of crazy people in this world. lol.
