The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Tasm 2 music

Thats not the main theme is it?
Main theme starts around 2:25

The starting part came when Peter's listening to his Uncle's voice mail
I loved that part!

By slow build-up I mean like the quick drumming at the start of Elfman's theme and its somewhat similar in The Avengers theme.
That part does great to build up the momentum especially when the hero is coming in to save the day/fight the Villain.

The TASM theme starts of too thriumphant, like the part when the Lizard is flinging cars over the bridge and Peter arrives,it looked totally out of place when the theme seems one of Victory and the fight hasnt even begun

Well, yeah, that was kinda the part I was referring to... And yes; it does have build up.

Anyway, I really don't get what's so special about the "quick-drumming" build-up, you're talking about - I just find it generic.

But what is it you find so "triumphant" about The Bridge?
The main theme melody is only played once in the beginning there, not to mention it's also in minor, I.E; not very triumphant to me, anyway. ****, It'd probably consider The Bridge the best cue on the whole soundtrack.

Pormises was one of the ones i liked most and when I hear "I cant see you anymore" makes me play out in my head Gwens death :(

Man, yeah. 'I Can't See You Anymore', love that piece.
I really don't get the James Horner hate.

Yeah those two I love but I also want to see some of them and imporved and I loook forward who will compose the next or if Horner does come back if he'll improve a little more.

I listen to that piece quite often. The piano, although simple, is very touching. It gives me shivers every time.

I'm hoping for Horner to return, personally. :)

Me too. I even learned the whole piece on the piano. And man, does Horner know how to write piano music.

The music was really hit-or-miss in TASM. I hope he gets an actual theme song this time. TASM's music wasn't nearly as memorable as the Raimi movies' music.

Don't get me wrong about the Elfman score; it'll always have a place in my heart, but man, Spidey was not given a proper, hummable, melody of any kind, in the Raimi movies.

Horner's score, on the other hand... Well, 0:35 speaks for itself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVDrTLHZEVQ

After 50 years of Spider-Man, I genuinely think that's the theme Spidey deserves.

I like the main bit, but there are parts that just feel off. Random bings, bangs and vocals. It needs to be cleaned up a little. It's perhaps a bit too subtle, as well. The highs need to be punctuated more.

Yeah, I was referring to the main bit.

Anyway, I'd definitely have to agree on some things seeming out of place. Some parts of the cue didn't seem very well produced, with some random, uneeded noises a little here and there, just like you said.

Not sure what you mean with highs needing to be punctuated more, though?

I find it funny that people complained that there wasn't any theme in Elfman's Spidey score. When clearly there was but it was more of a motif b/c he gave Peter the stronger melody instead of Spidey. I assume that b/c Peter is the real person not Spidey. And when those who did notice Elfman's motif only complain about it not being like Williams' Superman march. Then when Horner gives him a big melody. Some of those same people complain about that theme and claim it feels like it fits Superman more than Spidey. Some of you guys willl never be pleased.

I think Horner had a better main theme, but Elfman had a better consistancy

Exactly the opposite for me.
Me too. Horner has more cues I like, more variety, and the main theme variations are better than I though they would be.

If possible it would be rewarding for the same creative team to be apart of this era.
