The Amazing Spider-Man TASM Footage Description Thread!

Oh God, this sounds so cool.

Like a LED watch face or something?

When you say this do you mean like it's on his computer digital or wha Troy suggested?

Same idea, but more high-tech looking. Almost like a health meter on a videogame screen.

Digital readout indicator for the amount of web fluid remaining? Awesome. Way to bring Spidey into the 21st Century :woot:

Does anyone who has seen the footage remember a clip where pete is in his warehouse making the web-shooters and there is like a blue laser coming out of one and on to the wall.It looked like a laser level to ensure the web flew straight.

Never heard about that but that sound really cool. I love that the webshooters are back and apparently better than ever.

From Sticky-Fingers:

Yeah i wish i brought pen and paper to jot stuff down.Well he had no lab-coat i can tell you that and a short snout.

His tongue wasn't forked i think. I for one thinks he looks creepy as hell as did the girls he was licking. I dont think the ditko design would have worked on screen.

P.S all of this could have changed in the stuff we see on the 6th.

I look forward to hearing how these pre-screenings go and any future promos that happen to get us hyped.

Sounds pretty cool about the digital-readout... Damn! Spidey is going batman-gadget-craaazy! :-)

I've been saying that since the beginning. Functionality people. Why do you think he has sneakers?

thin soled socks aren't functional.

He obviously has sneakers because Sony is running a new ad campaign with Nike. Well, not yet...but they probably will. :cwink: You know you'd buy a pair of Spidey Nikes in a heartbeat. :woot:

I have to announce that I have tickets for the Madrid's The Untold Story preview, so you can expect that I post my impressions here :D
Here, in Madrid, it's in February 6th at 8PM GMT+1, so you a lot of you can expect news from me at 2PM (more or less, the Atlantic Coast Time, if I'm right).

Peter Parker wears Nikes and Spider-Man wears ASICS.

I wonder if there are any Nike/ASICS fanboy wars that will come of this....

Probably.

Hey, what if Asics had a Super Bowl Commercial with Spidey in it?

Lucky! I look forward to your report back. :yay:

Well I will say the webshooter "technology" are an interesting twist to the concept. But the Lizard description remains an issue. It doesn't sound like the studio has confidence to show him. Pretty bad when you consider they don't have a finished shot of him to reveal for a trailer. Sounds to me like they are trying to find some way to fix his look so it works and that resolve has not been reached.

 And where exactly did you get this information?

We have only one teaser and he's not in it... There will be no trailer in the Superbowl. All the other Spider-man films have had one in the Superbowl and the exposure is critical to building momentum for the film. We have less than six months before the film opens and the Lizard hasn't been revealed "officially" except through toy products. Exactly what would you conclude from that? "Its a secret?" Please...

No they haven't.

He's right. Spiderman 3 nor 2 if I remeber correctly didnt have superbowl spots.

Is the Super Bowl spot for the 1st movie online anywhere? I don't really remember it well.

When have you EVER seen a trailer that had fully completed CGI shots before the movie came out?

Considering how long the movie has been in production, the few months we have left is NOT much time, so logic would dictate that there are quite a number of shots are near completion, at least enough for some quick cuts in a trailer. Not to mention we know that they showed nearly completed shots of the lizard last summer at Comic-Con...

Studios holding out on showing the "money shot" or officially revealing something like a villian or monster is NOT new. Happens all the time, so I'm not surprised at all that we have yet to get anything truly official on the Lizard.
