I'm the opposite, actually. I've only seen it once in its entirety on DVD - after seeing it in IMAX (and feeling the sound through the floor and in your chest), I don't really want to see it any other way. :funny:

At least 40 people were at The Bridge yesterday. :yay: Way more than when it showed last in September, at least.
Oh don't get me wrong, I would prefer to see it in IMAX over Bluray any day of the week but to be honest... I'm officially burned out on Batman right now. Watched it on Bluray a few weeks back and some things actually felt fresh, I need to take some time off haha.

When I saw it in September, about a day or two before it closed in Toronto, there were about 10 people in the IMAX. It was a little disappointing, but I guess I was there at the first screening and close enough to the last.

Anyone attending these re-releases, are they getting new reels? At the one in September it looked like the reel was almost "tired", it just had marks randomly and didn't seem as crisp as the first time I saw it.

Weekend numbers $436,843

Domestic: $532,356,746 53.3%
+ Foreign: $466,026,926 46.7%
= Worldwide: $998,383,672

Hmm, 34.5% drop. Not too bad. It actually got a higher PTA than last week. It actually had a higher PTA than Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon, and Milk. :funny:

So with these drops, any chance of a few more weekends at that rate to bump it to a billion?

I think when it's this close, one way or another, WB will ensure it crosses the line. The bragging rights are too good to pass up.

You know, with it being so close to 1 billion and playing so close to where I live (15 minutes tops in traffic), I may have to go see it Friday! :yay:

when I saw at Scotiabank last sunday, it def wasn't a new reel...imax shots still had pop but the 35 transfer was on its last leg...no complaints about the sound tho :D

:lmao: Someone on Deadline Hollywood Daily says that their friend went to see Paul Blart: Mall Cop SEVEN TIMES, and it's only in its third week of release. :funny:

I guess we TDK fans aren't as crazy as we look. :hehe:

There's a difference. TDK was a good movie.

Update includes Tuesday numbers.

Domestic: $532,419,108
+ Foreign: $466,089,447
= Worldwide: $998,508,555

$998,934,801. according to Boxofficemojo.

So close!

I hope it makes it. Doesn't need that much more.

I really dont believe WB will remove it from theaters until it gets there...only a million till something only 3 movies in history have achieved?

WB was pushing Superman Returns until it made $200 in the USA...there's no way they will let this opportunity go away.

:lmao: TDK made more this weekend than Valkyrie and The Day The Earth Stood Still. :funny:

Wow, it is so disgustingly close. I really hope it makes.

Really would not bet on that. They had an opportunity to have the top-grossing domestic film of all times and passed it up so they could have a DVD by Christmas. These people don't give a **** about bragging rights.
