The Dark Knight Teaser-trailer audience reaction thread

. The teaser reaction at my theater was insane. As soon as the teaser started with the WB logo everyone in the theater standed up and started cheering "WOOHOO YEAH ITS THE DARK KNIGHT. WOOHOO!!!". After the teaser finished then the real insanity began. People in the balcony started jumping up and down like gorillas in a zoo during feeding time. I could have sworn the balcony was gonna break down. And this was just the beginning. People then made their out of the cinema taking there clothes off and chanting while in the streets in their massive numbers "THE DARK KNIGHT IS COMMING!!!". The entire police deparment was out that night controlling the citizens and the army was on its way.

This made my day.

Don't underestimate the power of "the teaser".

I live in Bonne Terre, Missouri.. and our theatre is in Farmington (Kerasotes Showplace 4 cinema) it's an ok theatre. I saw the midnight showing of the Simpsons on thursday and of course...no Dark Knight trailer. But I saw it as soon as I came home on the internet. but if it WERE @ the theatre. there would have been some clapping and discussion about it.

Went to see the Simpsons and the Dark Knight trailer was the very last to be shown. Crowd reaction was pretty good, I think. There were a lot of speculation, a couple of claps, and one old woman who drew a handgun and put two bullets into the back of the head of some dude infront of her. She was awfully excited.

So excited she didnt even notice me tackle her to the floor and shove a shoe in her mouth. After all, I didnt want to miss Alvin and the Chipmonks.

I don't think the trailer came with the movies on this side of the Atlantic. Saw the Simposons today and it wasn't attached. Speaking of the Simpsons, when you're expecting a kick in the balls, but walk away with a slap in the face, you should be happy!

I actually quite enjoyed the Simpsons!

ANYWAY, I've emailed the trailed etc to friends, they all LOVE it! They were asking me ALL about the new film and the LOVED the fact that it showed no footage. They had never seen a trailer like that before and they said it was ingenious and got them all excited.

I have to say though... I have never seen any audience reaction like the one for the "CLoverfield" trailer when I saw Transformers today. It's the new JJ Abrahms flick, the top secret one? It looks like the dog's bollox. (That's a good thing)

The voices speak a thousand words about the depth of the film. I, for one, love to not always see but hear. It let's my imagination do the rest. There is darkness, fear and chaos in the dialogue.That makes the movie seem so freakin cool. In that sense, it may be the greatest teaser of all time.

I thought y'all might be interested in this. Oh no they didn't is an intensely popular blog on live journal that a lot of people (ie not fanboys and gals) check and respond to. Some one there posted the trailer and it's been interesting so far to see the responses.
