The Dark Knight Teaser-trailer audience reaction thread

the ones who like hte teaser will say that everyone loved it. the ones who didnt will say that noone like it.

some of them...lets say 20% will tell the truth.

Glad to see we have qualified statisticians on this board.

Sorry to break it to you, but there are people who get enthusiastic over such things.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I have never been in a theater with any reaction to a trailer other than laughs for a comedy trailer. I've never been in a theater where people clap or cheer for a trailer. I'm not trying to be negative, its just never happened. Also, to be perfectly honest, I'm glad I've never experienced that because if there were any people clapping no one could hear whats going on in the trailer, making all trailers completly pointless.

What do you mean by ridiculous Excel?

I'm assuming you're talking about the crowd being fired up, which I'm not surprised after the momentum BB created.

Yes.

Happy Bday, milk.

i want to ask the ones who said that people were very positive about the batman sequel. so the question now is did they even knew that this was batman? after all the title is the dark knight.

Do you honestly believe people are that stupid?

you mean the ones who said after i got the second time out of the theater that this was a prequel to B89 because the joker card?

EVERYONE in my theater jumped up and cheered. Then they all ripped off their clothes and had one big massive orgy while they chanted the 1960's Batman theme. Afterwards, we all went out for coffee.

Ok those people still know what a Batman logo looks like right? Right?

By chance did anyone find the dialog from the teaser anywhere else before it was released. Because for some reason the dialog seemed very ****ing familiar and i wasn't sure if i read it already somewhere else or if i just had some deja ****in vu.

By the way, i thought the trailer was decent. Could've used some actual footage. I would've even settled for the i believe in harvey dent PSA that i heard was supposed to be in the teaser.

i have heard people clap for the bourne supremacy trailer and harry potter, both of which played before spider man 3

i want to see this one in the theater though... i think thatd be sick

Teaser was awsome...I guess that they answered the question of how the Joker came into play in the TDK, of course there's probally a little more behind it I'm sure but it's at least a start....When I first heard Joker talk, I thought: "That Sounds more like Eckhart then Ledger" but then you can tell Ledger just changed his voice to lose his accent of course...Man I can't wait to see a real trailer now...

Actually a lot of grumblings that they had to wait till 2008 to see it, but nothing spectacular (besides the jumping and howling, the kids screaming "BATMAN WE LOVE YOU", and the guy in the front row who took off his t-shirt and began propelling it over his head -- oh and the standing O at the end -- nothing spectacular).

That's an easier mistake to make then not realizing it's Batman, seeing as how the media was even calling it a prequel.

And honestly the Bat symbol is probably one of the most recognizable symbols in the world behind Superman's shield. To think that people won't realize this is a Batman movie is ridiculous.

People cheered when it began with Bale's voice, as if they already knew what it was. And then towards the end, someone shouted that 2008 couldn't get here fast enough.

I cant get enough of this teaser. I've probably watched it 20 times and I get more hyped with each viewing.

I can't believe I paid to see a movie based off of the knowledge that a trailer was supposed to be played... and then wasn't played at all...

I can happily say that that movie was the best Simpson's episode I ever saw... should have never paid for it...

So glad I have the HD copy of the trailer on my desktop, ready to be viewed at moments notice...

I wish that would happen at my theater.

You didn't pay much attention then, did you? No one ever said it would be playing with all Simpsons copies.
