Warner Bros. has announced the untitled WB animated film set for June 1, 2018 is Teen Titans Go! and is now set to hit theaters one month later on July 27, 2018.

This is gonna make the Emoji Movie look like an Oscar winner, I swear to God.

That's the approach I took to watching it. I avoided the show for a long time because I knew it was nothing like the original show save for having the same cast but once I watched it I got hooked. It's so ridiculously entertaining.

I actually can't wait to see what they cook up with this movie.

Fortunately, Mission Impossible 6 is out the same weekend. And Hotel Transylvania 3's out the same month. I'd rather see BOTH of those than this. If TTG hits #1 instead MI6, I RIOT.

Haha I highly doubt that happens. Like seriously doubt it. TTGO will likely perform respectably, but number one over Mission Impossible 6 AND Hotel Transylvania 3? I don't see it happening.

Except It's Alway's Sunny in Philadelphia is actually FUNNY. TTG isn't. Plus, it's ****ting all over DC Animation's otherwise good quality show track-record.

I don't see how this is a bad thing. God forbid we make cartoons out of comic books that appeal to just kids.

It's not focused on us. That's okay. Not every comic book related thing has to cater to adults. I swear, adults can be overly possessive when it comes to a medium that was originally created to appeal to children. When it isn't catered to them, people come down on it. There's a silly attitude in fandom that comic books are only adult and serious.

I haven't seen the show so I can't comment on it. But if it's terrible of course being a kids's show is no excuse for something being bad.

From what little I've glimpsed it doesn't look like it's for me, but if it's made strictly for kids and not in the BTAS category and is doing something different and well on its own terms I can't really fault it for that. I just get skeptical when adult fans come down on something that doesn't cater to their generation.
