Teen Titans: The Judas Contract is back on

Wow this was actually good! While I hate the lineup, I actually enjoyed the movie. It was a complete set up from the last one.

The start of the film was the best (and well part of the ending) and I need more of them please! That's who they should've given us. Though does Beastboy not age? physically and mentally? They did a good job of giving all the OGs a 21st century update to their outfits.

seeing Donna at the end brought a huge smile to my face, Wondergirl(s) is always treated as such an outcast by DC its annoying. While I would've preferred for her to still have her place as an OG Titan, I guess I have to take what I can get. Which is a bit of a shame since Korys two best girlfriends are relegated to children

Towards the end they did a good job with Terra but setting everything up they went about it the wrong way with her characterization. Making her into a "badgirl" before the reveal was not the way to go. She should've been sweet and got along with everyone before revealing her true colors.

Funny enough in the original comics she was often standoffish and constantly had smartass insults for the other members that would piss them off at times. They were trying to help her open up but it wouldn't stop her from being obnoxious

No thank you. The lineup is fine as it is!! Add too many sidekicks and the Teen Titans become a mini Justice League effectively losing all their uniqueness.

Thankfully Red Arrow and Kid Flash were kept just as flashback cameos and Wonder Girl was kept as just a cameo as well. I'll take Blue Beetle, Raven, Starfire, Beast Boy and Terra over them any day. I'm hoping more unique members like Static and Jericho (I realize he had a cameo) show up. Bumblebee should return too.

Good thing I don't want them added to the line up lol. I want them to be the line up.

In other words you want a mini Justice League with very little diversity in terms of power sets? Nah the animated line up is great and I'm hoping that's the one we get in an inevitable live action movie/show

What you are saying makes sense, as she was undercover, so it would have been understandable for her to have put on an act. However, I do not think she would have been as engaging or as tragic a character if they went that way. I think by showing us who she really is, someone who struggles to fit in with others and who feels that she shouldn't be "serving" humans due to her upbringing (with her family and people in her country trying to kill her because of her powers, and then Slade manipulating and lying to her so she will take part in his plan to take down the TT), but then genuinely start to become a bit fond of the TT right before her betrayal (hinting that there was hope for her) was the better way to go.

If they did not show us who she really was until it was too late, I do not think her story would have been as engaging or as tragic, as we wouldn't have really gotten to know who she was as well as they showed us. In such a short movie, it is already difficult to get people invested in several characters as it is.

I really want a Titans movie.

DC is really messing up the DCEU should be #1 right now.

So many great characters can't wait for the next New 52 Universe animated movie.

They should just go into the Rebirth phase. I just really want the Darkseid War adapted (along with similar animation cause its gotten CHEAP). Wonder Woman needs a makeover in costume and personality.

Watched it a second time and I liked it a lot more. Really glad the dcn52 movies have started to turn themselves around and even going back and watching some of the first ones were a lot better than i remembered them.

Im just ready for a full time Wondergirl movie!

Meh. I'd rather get a full on Wonder Woman solo movie again!! Why settle for the miniature version when I can get the REAL deal :woot:

The next Titans movie should focus on Starfire/Blackfire/Tamaran :drl:

Lord knows this WW needs more development so they might as well give her a movie and have Donna in it.

Given introduction at the end, I wouldn't be surprised if they did "Who is Donna Troy" next?
They could also do something with Starfire and her sister in the future. There are so many good TT stories for them to choose from.

Just watched it, I say 8.5. I am glad they toned down on Damien he wasn't all that annoying.

Not sure why they needed the opening scene, just made me want to see that team more.

Never cared for Tera and her wanting Slade was a bit odd.
Besides those I really enjoyed the movie, best new52 DC movie since Flashpoint.

I appreciate the earlier stories where he was much more of an ass, you can really see his character progression, and why he is the way he is today. it's good to see that kind of thing happen over multiple movies, and I agree, it's nice to see him finally able to work with a team. I do like how Slade tries to make him out as being weak now, but its his team that doesnt let him down in the end.

Agreed - it looked really light hearted in comparison to the Judas contract, which is sometimes a nicer balance, I would have liked to see the Titans in the earlier days, and how they formed / missions, but luckily we will get Young Justice back, and that's been my go-to.

I agree about Tera, it was odd but it was a good story and different from so many other characters.

This was really good. What the heck is taking DC so long to make a Teen Titans movie. I'm not sure if this would make a good first movie, but an eventual adaptation of this story could be a comic book movie classic.

Can someone clear up Blue Beetle's family drama? Why couldn't he see his family, was it because the scarab was violent?
