I'm completely unfamiliar with the site. Is it reliable news? Semi reliable? Utter crap?

Utter crap. It was always crap, but it used to be somewhat influential like Drudge Report, but now it can't even claim that since its founder and namesake died a year ago.

Its a conservative media site, similar to how Huffington Post or Slate is a liberal media site. All those sites have their perils because they may not tell the whole story, but you may find them more refreshing than other more popular media outlets which try to varying extents to cover up their biases.

Its better to read it for "opinion" articles than for straight-up "news." You might like it better if you are conservative, or maybe you are like me and you want to hear what both sides are saying so you read both conservative and liberal opinion sites.

I'd put it under "semi-reliable." But even CNN has made mistakes recently... with any news site you should double-check info, IMO. But maybe I'm just cynical.
