Here's the REAL teaser poster!

Nice. Very nice.

It’s a shame Edward Furlong let himself go all those years ago. Could’ve been nice to see him in this movie too, he was always a good actor.

they are using the same paparazzi image for months now. lazy

They're not using a paparazzi pic. That's her look in the new movie. They're showcasing it. It just happens to have been revealed in paparazzi pics before the marketing campaign started. Which happens. And won't affect the general audience.

I like that they're hiding the Terminators so far. Should be pretty cool to experience them directly in the teaser trailer for the first time... IF they'll be revealed.

I just keep seeing stuff for this and find myself muttering "please don't suck, please don't suck, please don't suck". I loved the first one, liked the second one, hated the third one, liked the fourth one, refused to even watch the fifth one...this one just needs to not suck. I WANT this to rock.

Shifting the focus back to Sarah is smart. We can see her character arc a little more. Part 1, scared and rising to the occasion. Part 2, a machine of sorts, simply doing what she's expected, and finding the heart that would really make John Conner THE John Conner. This one can be something really special as she sees her son come into his own and rise to the role he was meant to be.

We all want this to be good. And with Tim Miller at the helm, there's a good chance that this might actually be the sequel we were all hoping for. Not only is he very talented director, but this man is a die-hard science fiction aficionado.

Bleh poster. None of official promo materials impressed me. Good thing - they mean nothing. Look at awesome posters for the latest Predator film.
And yet The Predator got slammed into the wall by critics and most fans. Not a good example.

It's a good example because that's exactly what I'm saying. Bad poster =/= bad movie, and the opposite.

What were you expecting @OutOfBoose ?

It's only the first poster of probably many to come over the next 5 months.

I'm really digging that poster. Like someone else said simple yet effective. I'm just hoping this movie turns out to actually be good. Can't wait for that trailer tomorrow.

Promo material is mostly made to catch the audience's interest. Imagine someone who doesn't google movie news every day but loved James Cameron's original "Terminator" films walk past this teaser poster... and see the familiar desert road, as well as Linda Hamilton's return as Sarah Connor, as well and promise to find out what happens after "Judgement Day." It's a pretty simple and effective teaser poster.
The return of James Cameron as producer and the mention of Tim Miller, director of the highly popular and critically acclaimed "Deadpool," are just as effective.

I always expect promo materials that will boost my interest. This one did nothing. Not that it's a big deal.

Fair enough.

It's exactly what I was looking for. No flashy nonsense or laughable magazine promo shoots, just pure and simple.

I wish they hired Leibovitz to do promo photos. But they probably don't have Disney bucks to waste.

Again, movie is the only important thing. Everything else is noise. But there are interesting and well-made posters and something slapped together in Photoshop in 20 minutes.

As if Disney didn't put out ****ty posters, as well. :P

The poster is a bit spacially sparce but it's ok, interesting that Sarah is the lone character on it.
