Well John Connor as we knew him was only on screen for a few minutes in Genisys.

The problem is adult John Connor is boring. He’s this perfect leader, there’s nothing interesting about that until we see how the messed up kid from 2 becomes that warrior.

He doesn't have to be perfect though. I think they were onto the right idea of exploring if can be that perfect leader after being told he's the chose one his whole life.

And I think T3 also had the right take of exploring what do you do if you're told you're the the chosen one but Judgment Day never comes?

Reedus really does look like an alternate universe version of Furlong who took care of himself as an adult. I could buy him as John Connor.

Yeah, I was just thinking that Furlong in that picture from the last page looks the way Reedus would look if he just really let himself go.

And Bethel as Reese would be fantastic. He was so good in Daredevil and he looks a lot like Biehn. I really hope to see more of Bethel in something cool soon, since Netflix robbed us of ever seeing him in his full Bullseye costume when they said no to season 4.

I believe Bethel was originally in the running for Reese in Genisys, but thankfully lost out on that one haha. Would love to see him get a shot should this new series of films actually prove to be any good.

Yeah, if this series takes off, maybe Bethel could be considered for Reese. Also, if we ever do see adult John Connor again, I hope his scar looks like it does in the picture above. Jason Clarke's scar looked ridiculous.

I dunno. Would they recast Reese again considering Linda Hamilton is actually part of this one?

I'm kinda torn on that considering how great they were together in the first movie, and I liked his scene in the T2 special edition.

Lol, I was thinking about this while watching Logan Lucky. Even when he's playing a good guy, he still comes off as a bit of chach in a way that I don't think is intended. But it worked really well for him in I, Tonya.

Stan can play a war hero with some kind of mental disorder who loses everything, I would still root against his character. I don't know why. Some actors have that thing about them. Eh. Miles Teller. That guy from Baby Driver.

Nah, that's the thing tho. Teller is a good actor, just want to punch him. Stan on the other hand, he can be replaced with Fabio. Fabio with a metal arm and you get the same thing.
