So I have been putting together an idea for my own true sequel and got started on Sarahs future war look.
The original art is not mine I have just poorly Photoshopped it took look more like Linda and add the burn and scars.

I thought Elysium was okay. Chappie was awful. He still has a good eye for visuals, rooting for a return to form one day.
Yeah Jones sunk down a similar rabbit hole too. Miller may well be following suit.

I've an open mind towards this especially because of what I've seen of Mackenzie Davis, but having read the plot leak I'm feeling a bit deflated. For something Cameron is supposedly godfathering, something they're selling as a new beginning for the franchise, it feels like it's falling into a lot of the same pitfalls that T3-T5 did.

I'm not even talking about the new characters, more that the story structure seems to be sticking alarmingly close to what we've seen already. I honestly thought we'd be getting something new and fresh here not more of the same.

Could be BS
Could be misinformation.
Or the studio could be testing different endings as there are similarities in the two leaks.
We will just have to see if any of it is true.
At least one of these leaks is available on reddit if you want to check it out, I have not read it myself.

That's actually a really good point.
True spoilers or not, we have the original Sarah Connor and Arnold is sure to be part of the final battle.
Sounds good to me.

Trailer was such horse-****. Was willing to give the benefit of the doubt due to the Cameron factor, but damn.

CG-fest supreme. Nothing grounded about the ****er, it's an MCU movie. Already.

Sarah Connor Chronicles, that's the legit T2 successor. Doubt this can change any minds on that, even with Jim. Luna's a cool choice for the machine, but the rest of it seems such millennial-tardish.

Trailer was ass, CG-fest like the other sequels. Kinda willing to take the Collider guy's word that the other footage shown was tonally very different though, given Cameron, a wait and see.

That trailer was some mega-bull**** though, no more faith in it than Genisys, if it weren't for Cameron. Sort of skeptical how much he even had to do with this given the tone of the footage though. T3 was a ****load more down-and-dirty gritty than this thing.

Seems Chronicles'll be the legit post-T2 thing for me.

Trailer looks like a very low effort, low intelligence, generic soft reboot. I think it's hilarious how reddit is absolutely melting down. I hope it makes a billion dollars just to piss them off even more.

The leaks don't sound that bad though; not great, but at least kind of clever. And the Grace character seems kinda cool. If it makes it to netflix I'll watch it ... then go back to pretending this franchise ended with T2.

Why oh why didn't they play the classic Terminator theme for this trailer (or even a variation of it)? That would have made a difference, for the better.

True. I just hope Junkie XL falls in line with Brad Fiedal on what made viewers love the terminator score's so much.If i hear generic beats and stock music (Soundtrack leaks) that will pretty much kill off any hype ive had for this film.

The soundtrack on this is orgasmic. Mostly takes cue's from the 1st Terminator film but goddamn just even a snippet of a score like this would make my day. Probably too much of a ask as you don't really hear cold scores that often in Hollywood these days as they rotate the same composers more often than not. The soundtrack needs atmosphere, its as simple as that.

Seems Chronicles'll be the legit post-T2 thing for me.

Pretty good. Second season floundered a bit, but it recovered in the end. Did some great things with the mythos. Garret Dillahunt is probably the second best Terminator.

Goddamn, I never saw that Batman-Terminator animation, but even with Batman it's so much closer in spirit to the original film than any trash that came post T2.....

I still recommend it. It can be a bit slow at times, and a bit more introspective than you would think. It also opened up neat bits of the mythos that really should be the basis for sequels. The idea of a temporal war with resistance and terminators scattered throughout history, not just to change history, but to also prepare things to be in their favor when judgement day kicks off. Even started to hint that Skynet may have made some a.i.'s too smart, and they were beginning to rebel from Skynet.

Its why I am still interested in the franchise.
